Hello to all,
I realize that this isn't the most active group, but I thought that I
would post to see what kind of response that I could get.
I recently started my first Pbem of COS(FE) and have been pleasantly
surprised at how well it is working for an old DOS game.
The end of our first turn just came up and we were trying to figure
out the best process for conducting the end of turn sequence; namely
new builds.
Me (as the Axis) decided it easiest to just take screen grabs of the
various info screens and send those along with my next turn. Now,
the question of how to handle the production cycle came up.
Unfortunately, I couldn't make my purchases, save and then send it
back - it would just advance past his builds (no builds).
So, I made a spreadsheet of all his allowable builds and their costs
and turns. That seemed the easiest. It would of been easier if the
costs and turns matched what is in the instruction book; I found that
most were of different costs than what it showed there. So my
question - is the production costs the same every game or is that
randomly generated (or based on some other factors - not talking
about regenerated units)? Will my spreadsheet be of use in future
Pbem games or will I have to constantly update the costs each turn?
Thanks!
