This group is the place where every other month an online newsletter is sent out. Its all about the American Civil War and American Civil War Wargaming. There is an archive of articles that appeard in previous issues of the newsletter on www.magweb.com. There will be reviews of products, rulesets, books, services, as well as being articles telling about battles and leaders. There will hopefully be wargaming scenarios, how-to articles, painting guides, articles about units, weapons, and tactics. There can also be a section for letters to the editor if enough of you send in letters. If you want to submit an article, here's what you do. First, for sending in the text portion of the articles. Put the text of the articles in a basic text program such as wordpad, notepad, etc. These are programs I can open in any text program. Second, pictures and maps for your articles. Put the pictures in JPEG format. And send maps in a basic drawing program such as Paint. Third, send all this to me at shefeltn@cmh.net and I'll take care of the. If you want me to put the pictures or maps in a specific spot in the article, tell me where within the body of the e-mail, and I'll do my best. After you send it to me, I will copy paste everything into Works, and then I will arrange the article. After I arrange the article, I'll put it with the rest of the newsletter, and then send it in to the group. If you don't have time to write an article, but have a great idea for one, send it to me.
