This server does exist btw…100%. I’ve been playing Beta for about a week now. Kinda funny seeing some of those old items as being good again..lol

I don't know if they will go through with it but I have talked to some of
the guys at Sony and it is being kicked about and planned so unless the
higher ups at SoE quash the idea it should go through. Dunno about the rest
of the details but I can probably find out if anyone is interested.

This kind of rumor comes out every so often, so I'd be in the "I'll
believe it when I see it" category.  The thing is, there have been
many changes that affect gameplay in general that were not part of
any particular expansion.  So I don't know that they'd really be
able to make it "just like back in the day" unless they saved all
that old code.

A trivial example is the existance of the compass and the fact that
Sense Heading is maxxed at 200 when you start - we used to have to
spam the button all the time so that we could figure out where we
were (there was no compass and no maps).
A more difficult thing is the fact that starting from level 5 (I
think, if not 1) you'd loose XP and your gear would stay on your
corpse instead of waiting til 10 & 11; plus your corpse didn't hang
around near as long as it does now.  Neither of those changes were
tied to a particular expansion, so the question would be would those
things be in from the start and if not at what point would they add
them?

Plus, if what Mike says is true, that you don't unlock the next
expansion until you "finish" one, how would they define "finish"?
You might need to be able to get into a high-end kind of guild,
then, and have to do a ton of raiding and so forth, depending on
what that means.

Personally I'd have no real desire to go backwards and play the olde
fasioned way as I'm too used to the new ways :)

Very neat to see your response.  Been a while since I have talked
with you.  How is everything Debbie?  Yuppers I am officially living
in the states now.  I was in Kuwait and then Iraq for 3 years.  It is
good to be back.  My wife is pregnant with our 5th child, so my play
time is not a lot.

I am going to try to post here more often and will be viewing the
Christian RPGers site too.  It is good to be back, and neat to see I
know some of you still... hehe

Hey, dude!  Long time no chat :)  Are you back in the states now?

When I play, I also play on Tribunal.  I have a high level character
there as well as alts of several levels.  I do believe I have a
character on Fennin Ro but I only played there a few times.  Lately
I've been starting to play more often, but it's still only a couple
times a week for a couple hours.  It's also not usually that late
since I have to get up early for work.  I would think there would be a
good number of people on at that time, however.

Someone else mentioned the server merges; I don't know if you heard
about that.  A while back they combined several servers so there's
actually about half the number there used to be.  So each server
should have a fairly decent population anymore.  They put the merged
server name in parenthases so you know what's where - like 'The
Tribunal (Ayane Ro)'.  Fennin Ro was a target server; I forget which
one was merged to it.

Glad to see you may return to EverCrack. I play mostly on afternoons... but I got word today that my PC's new mother board is being installed. *happy dance* My main toons are on Tribunal (I have toons I almost never touch on Tunare and FV). I won't have my main toon aside from afternoons for a bit until I get them off my parent's account to mine... but when on I'd talk at ya at least.
