One thing I really like are the different trades. I think it's fun
to be able to make stuff - and that makes each character different,
if they use the trades. Because everyone could be honing different
areas, and it seems like it really broadens your character (provided
you're not just in it for hack-and-slash, anyway!).
I didn't have any luck making dough for my muffins yet, though :(
But I'm not sure I can make muffins anyway, because according to the
Castor's Realm site you need fruit and you need to forage to get
that, and I don't think my warrior has that skill. I'm trying to
make the muffins because it's a quest from one of the NPCs in my
town. Well, we'll see what happens!

p.s. Feel free to add sites to our Bookmarks area. I put the handful
that you all mentioned on our CRPG board, but if you know of others,
please share! :)

Oh, ok, thanks, I get it. In my old MUD, the assassins could poison,
so one time I with my templar (warrior/cleric) and an assassin pal
were grouped, and he poisoned a big mob for us to kill. We were
sitting there waiting for him to get bad off enough to wack it and
this other higher-level player came through. We told him that we
were waiting for this mob, and he watched for a bit then said "I
can't take this anymore!" (it was taking a LOOOONG time for the mob
to get hurt enough for us). He helped us kill it then (tanked for
us, then ran away when it got hurt enough for us to finish it off).
Fun fun! LOL
Anyway, I didn't get to play this weekend except for Fri night. I
was on until 12pm EDT, but I guess you got on late, Jeremy, cause I
didn't see you. I have you all listed as 'friends' and do '/who
friends all' every now and then - I think that's right! Hope I have
all your names spelled correctly :)

Well first let me say that im happy to be back online again. For
some reason my cable service was shut off all day on Sat. I was
looking forward to a fun day of EQ since i didn't get to play much
last week. I was extremely dissapointed when i woke up and found
that i had no service. I'm back now so i guess i can forgive my
cable company. I did get to play late Fri. night and got Celedor up
to the 10th level. I wanna travel somewhere else so i might take
grey dragons advice on where to go. I'd love to group with some of
you but i guess we're too far apart in levels for a while. Hopefully
we can all group eventually. Ok i gotta go play. Gotta feed my
addiction after a day of withdrawl!

I wouldn't say usually practiced by druids.....Necros are the kings
of kiting. Snare, sick pet, fear, and dot up the kazoo. Necros have
the most powerful dots out of all the classes just for that. Druids
have higher DD's and roots because they can sit there and blast it
while it's rooted while a necro cannot. Even the necro's snare is a
dot. They get sucky roots and don't get the first one until
midleveled. A necro can get rather boring because they don't do the
chase blast thing, they just do their thing and while the mob is
feared and the pet is wacking it, sit there and meditate. Oh and
necros never require a chanter unless they are lazy, they get mana
spells which take their hps but it refreshes mana much faster than
the equal leveled chanter mana spells. Wizards on the otherhand don't
get a snare until lvl 29 and then it's an area affect snare which
kinda sucks. I've seen wizards snare themselves so often because of
that hehe, but when done right and they should have sow or it can get
really dangerous, they get that snare on and run the mobs while using
their nasty area affect DD's, they can take down a ton of mobs all at
once. I admire that highly. Just wish you didn't have to wait all
those levels to get that power.

Ahhh yes kiting...

Usually practiced by druids but there are some other classes that can
pull it off.

Pretty much druids have a spell called snare that does a small amount
of damage then slows the targets movemnent speed.

Then you cast a DoT spell on it (Damage Over Time) like Stinging
Swarm or Drones of Doom.

At this point you can either run around staying a little a head of
the MOB while the DoT slowly kills it or you can do what I do and
root it and just sit till the root breaks.

It takes awhile, but you can kill mucho bigger mobs that way. This is
one of the reasons druids can solo for quite some time where other
classes cannot.

Necros can kite using their pet, Shamen can do it at higher levels
and if you know how you can kite with an enchanter.

Come to think of it, at lvl 9 you can do the dervs in WC if you have
a good group. At lvl 10 you can do the Dervs in Sro and get GREAT exp
till about lvl 14. Then you can move to oasis...

Personally at that point I usually fight my way to Lake of Ill omen,
or the Warrens.

it's tough getting into an orc group. Oh and then ya got the scarabs,

East Commons has so much bloody spam in it it's not funny. I used to

At lvl 9 try the scarabs, be careful however they will gang up on
you. Also watch out for Corflunk, annoying oger that sees though
invis and wacks people.

I can bind, if I ever get on. As far as leather, that's fine. There's
a quest in Kaladim that will give you beatle carpace armour which is
a bit better as I recall I may have a few pieces. If I can find a
smith to get me studs I can make studded leather.

A good chunk of the quests are busted or the rewards stink, still fun

I have yet to see any of you on when I am! :( Jeremy is excused
because of his exam, and I know Lady Xan has her PC problems now, but
I keep hoping to find somebody! Probably all due to time zones and
so forth. I haven't been on much myself anyway - this week turned
out to be busy. Maybe sometime this weekend we'll run into each
other.
Got Hakanina to level 4 this morning. I had to feel foolish and ask
someone where to get water from LOL - guess they don't sell it in my
town, I had to go to the shops just outside and get some. Is there
any way to refill a container or do I have to buy it all the time?

So now I killed some worker scarabs and took them and some gold to
this guy who made me a cool scarab helmet :) Other than that I have
a rusty long sword that I got off something I killed. I lost my
tunic when I died because there was no way I was gonna find my body
that time - so I just forgot it. Anyway, that's my story! Now I'm
gonna go try to find info on one of these web sites on how to make
muffins.

Most of those people have friends that help them out. Or they
transfer money from one character to another. Do not worry much...
we will get everyone taken care of soon. =)

Ok last night Celedor ventured to Kaladim for the first time. I'm up
to lvl 9 now and will probably stay in the butcher block mtns for
some time trying to get more levels. You probably won't see me today
or tommorrow since i have a big test on Fri morning, but definitely
look for me on Fri night. If anyone wants to group in butcher block
on Fri night some time let me know and maybe we can group. I play
usually later at night (10:00pm CDT untill whenever.) I need to get
a bind at butcher block or Kaladim so i dont have to find my corpse
all the way from Kelethin. Still looking for good ways to make
money. I feel like my armor isnt as good as it should be. Im a lv.9
and still have only leather armor. Is this ok, or should i have
better by now? I keep seeing all these people running around with
chain or plate, and i guess im jealous!

I'm in!! Great idea making a club for us EQ nuts Debbie. I truly hope
more find their way here. Anyhow, just a small update on my
characters on The Tribunal. So far Mahalath is lvl 6 and I've moved
her over to East Commons which is a long boat ride from Kaladim. Ya
all need maps!! Go to http://www.eqatlas.com this is the best site
for maps ever. They are all pretty clear and precise. My barbie
warrior Tirzah is lvl 7 and resides in Qeynos at the moment. I plan
on moving her to East Commons soon as well. East Commons and the
adjoining zones are great for leveling up fast. Well, I'm just more
familiar with them being as my main characters on CT are Dark Elven
and their homeland zone is connected to East Commons so I had to work
their levels up from there. I always get lost in Greater Faydark and
it dark! Never was fond of that zone. There is an adjoining zone
called Butcherblock which is pretty good from level 6 on up to 20 I
believe. Well, that's enough babbling for me. See ya in the game!

Ok I got it, posting like every good thing takes patience and
faith.<G>. So i went to trib. and created my dwarf, but they would
not let me name him CormacMacArt. This is weird 'cause I have
Characters on two other servers with that name. To make a short note
evenlonger I named him CORMACART. Got to first level in three min!
See you an line.=)

Welcome, David, you're a suprise member LOL!
I guess you've probably read at least some of our current
conversation on the C-RPG board :) Glad you decided to join us over
here, too!
One note about groups, sometimes it takes a while for your post to
show up in the Messages list. We've never figured out why, it just
does. Sometimes forcing a refresh of the page works (hold down Shift
while clicking Refresh or Reload), but not all the time. Just takes
faith LOL :)
Also, just so you all know - I made a database in the Database
section for us to list our characters and where they are. Saves us
from having to reread all the posts LOL Just click on Database to
the left, click on the Characters table, then click Add Row.

Thanks for coming, everyone! :)

Greetings all-

Well, you all know how RP is considered evil... I am not surprised
there isn't a Christian EQ club. =D

I am LadyXan from CRPGP, but I am Alarria the high elf cleric (lvl 5
or so... been awhile.. giggles) on Tribunal. =) My husband plays
Trumple the halfling druid (lvl 30).

As far as traveling, Trumple can take us places =) Just start where
your favorite race starts and we will move where we need to. =)

long (lol)
Hi Debbie, thanks for the invite.
I've been a lurker on "Christian RPG" for some time now. Started
playing EQ two months ago, mostly on "Seventh Hammer" and "Nameless".
I will be happy to join you on "Tribunal". What Continent? As a
newbie traveling long distances can be dangerous.I think I'll start
in Kaladin (dwarf home) I can always catch a boat to Freeport and be
close to Faydark to visit Jeremy's Elf Celedor.

Hi Debbie thanks for the invite.
I've been a lurker for six months or so on "Christian RGP" club. Been
playing EQ for the past two months. Have characters on Seventh Hammer
and Nameless but will be happy to join in on Tribunal. What continent
should we start on? If we're newbies long treks cross country to meet
up could be dangerous.
Think I'll start in Kalandin (dwarf home) can always catch a boat to
Freeport, and Ill be close to Faydark so I can join up with Jeremy's

Good idea for this group! Hopefully we can have as much fun with
this group as the original RPG group. My character is Celedor, a
wood elf warrior who is at level 8. Im currently in kelethin, but
would be willing to go somewhere and group with anyone. Also forgot
to mention that im on the tribunal server. I look forward to some
good adventuring with you all.

Hello and welcome to the Christian Everquest Players group! I started
this due to a discussion on another club. Several of us wanted to
play Everquest together, and to save that club from being taken over I
made a new one. I searched for an existing place for Christian EQ
players but did not find one, so I made my own.
Feel free to ask questions, share experiences, etc. as related to
Everquest and/or Christianity. Let us know who your characters are
and what server you play on so we can join up!
