Description

This is a group to provide information on the Chattanooga Rail Gaming Challenge. Begun in 1997, this is a fan based convention that is one of the longest running conventions devoted primarily to play of railroad based boardgames in the USA. This convention is held in January or February each year and draws players from as far away as England. Although the major focus is two separate tournaments, there is some open gaming areas and some Euro style games are played every year. I update my web page at least once a year usually in the fall with details on next year's event. For up to date information on the convention visit:

Some discussion can sometimes be found in the Yahoo group devoted to 1830 and other related games (search under 1830 or follow the link)

Re: Possibility of Catered Dinner Next January
Allen, since there is normally a Puffing Billy game scheduled at both 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm, attending the dinner would necessarily cause one to miss the 6:00 pm

Re: Possibility of Catered Dinner Next January
Hello, all. My "vote" (from the perspective of a Puffing Billy-only player) is that I'd enjoy an enforced break from 6-8pm whether I chose to go to the banquet

Re: Possibility of Catered Dinner Next January
David, my take on what Rick was saying was that players will need to plan their Saturday afternoon game carefully so that there aren't any misunderstandings
