Hey gang, Ontario's table hockey players are still going at it! Dave Kraehling's
idea of a Summer Multi-Board Challenge has been underway since July 1st and
already 10 best-of-seven series have taken place at various player's homes. This
tourney is proving to be a fabulously fun event with lots of cameraderie amongst
the ranks.
The idea of the tourney is for lower-ranked players to "challenge" higher-ranked
players using the game of their choice as their "home game" during a
best-of-seven series. Standings are based on winning percentage and so far, Mr.
Ken Ellis currently resides in first place with a perfect 4-0 record. Ken has
started most series strongly on his "home-ice" - the 4' Coleco game - and has
carried his resulting confidence to the PP2 and Coleco 5380 games.
A great aspect of this tourney is that players matchup at a time and location
that's convenient for both. It's great fun!
Be sure to visit Ontario's website for series results, stories, standings and
even videos of some of the games. See Dave's post "Another Win for the Underdog"
(or something like that) to see videos of PP2 and Coleco 5380 action between
Dave and I.
