I hate to sound negative, but I'm not holding my breath. I tried the new
game and as an MiB for SJG demoed it to several people. Most everyone either
didn't like it at all or liked it but wanted to design their own cars.

Hopefully with Scott Haring at the helm it'll take off and we'll at least
have something to try again. I remember his work from the old days and I
consider him an excellent Car Wars designer!

For anyone who's still paying attention, Scott Haring has said over
at Pyramid that he and some others at SJG have been testing out a
new VDS. It's not ready for a public playtest yet, but according to
Scott, that may be only because there are other projects taking
precedence.
