The San Diego Comp is on its way. I have the room already set for May
26, so keep your day open for another comp. I hope to see many of you
there. I should have some sort of Prereg setup in the next few days.

Hi everyone. The Rubik's Cube Club at Berkeley is organizing another
competition for this spring semester. We are going to have it on
April 14th. The room I've reserved for now is 126 Barrows. This may
change if I can obtain a better room but if not, this is the room we
will use. The events we are planning to have are:

3x3x3 speedsolve
3x3x3 one-handed
3x3x3 blindfolded
4x4x4 speedsolve
5x5x5 speedsolve

To pre-register, go to this site and sign up:
http://gnehzr.net/tournament/signup.php?tid=1

You should receive a confirmation email within a day or two of signing up.

Any questions can be directed to berkeleycubeclub (at) gmail (dot) com
or posted here. I tend to visit this forum fairly often.

I think Dan Lo is working with Chris Pelley on that.  You should talk to them.

What time do you expect things to end on Sunday? I'm trying to figure
out if I can catch the last flight back home and avoid another night
in the hotel. The flight would leave Chicago at 9:30 PM, so hopefully
that'll be late enough.

I know you can't be precise, but would a rought estimate work?

At the absolute latest, I'd imagine 6 PM.  But I think we can get it done by 4 or 5 PM.  If you don't plan on winning a bunch of prizes, you can probably leave at 9:30 PM without any problem.  If you do win stuff, we can always send it to you.

I will draw up a schedule, but prelims will be on Saturday as much as
possible with the final rounds on Sunday. I'm heading out to Anaheim
tonight so I'll get back to everyone with more info as it materializes.

i really want to know from the larger majority of people that will
be going, mainly the high schoolers and people in college. Chris it
sounds like May 26 is before all of your Finals is that right. Is
that the same for most people. The sooner i find out if this date is
good i can book the room.

Also depending on the amount of people will dpend on what events are
going to happen. right now i am thinking of just 3x3x3, 3x3x3 OH,
3x3x3 BLD, and possibly 2x2x2 adn 4x4x4.

May 26 and June 2nd would be good for me as long as I have a ride. My
tests aren't until the 10th or so of June.

I am thinking of doing another competition this year here in San
Diego. Who would be interested and what are good days for everyone.
The Science Center have open Availabilites starting late May through
July. This is another reason why we need to know when school ends and
when tests are. May 26 and June 2 are looking the best for me.

Our high school gets out around the same time as everyone else, if not just hair later.  I'd guess near the end of June.  Our school's been messin' with the students' minds with the schedule.  Oh well.

I'm in high school and June 8 is my last day, though most public high
schools in the area go two weeks later or so.
