Please show up from 9:00 am to 9:20 am to sign-in (and pay entry fee). We will
offer breakfast refreshments (i.e.croissants, muffins,etc)and coffee. We will
not accept any entries after 9:20 am (so if you are planning to come in late,
then please let me know the club phone # is 403-264-9498).

We will have a opening ceremony that will run 20 minutes. During this ceremony,
we will go through the basic rules of the tournament  as well as drawing of
lots. This tournament will follow the rules outlined in the CFC/FIDE handbook.
Any misbehaviours from the player will not be tolerated (ie. talking in the
playing room while games are going, running around the playing room, etc).

We have appointed an appeal committee to address the following items: (1)Appeal
against a decision by the tournament director (2) Protest against a player's
behaviour and (3) Protest or complaint against any participants.

More details will go over in the tournament. I am really looking forward in
directing this tournament. I hope to make this tournament looks as professional
as possible :) I welcome any spectators (come and watch) or watch the games live
on www.albertachess.org. Thanks to the Edmonton Chess Club for lending the DGT
boards and thanks to Tony Ficzere for running the DGT boards during the
tournament.
