hi,
I am also in the learning stage of 3x3 blindfold cubing.. I have been practicing for the past 3 months.. and my best time is 7 mins (3:30 for memorization & 3:30 for solving). My average is of 9 mins (4- 5 mins for memorization and 4 mins to solving). I am also using the same algorithm (from cubefreak.net) which is used by you.
As far as I observed, on an average it will take same time for solving in blindfold cubing..
It's the matter of memorization. Till now I am not using any memorization methods but I am remembering the no's itself or some times the path of the cycle I have to do. And at the beginning, especially for edge permutation remember some setup moves while memorizing..this will help alot in recalling while solving.. and your solving time will be drastically improved. For the Orientations of Edges and corners remember only the setup moves not the no's. Just use finger
tricks for solving the cube and apply the algorithms as fast as you can. and after that.. you can slowly unmove the setup moves..
I thope it will help you.. happy cubing..

I can solve the 3x3x3 blindfolded but it takes me about 30 minutes (15
memorization + 15 solving) to solve it. Please suggest me a method by
which i can significantly increase my solving speed. With 30 minutes
of cycle time it becomes embarrassing (and boring too!) to demonstrate
someone the skill involved in blindfold solving.
Presently I use the method posted on the site cubefreak.net 3x3x3
blindfold 3 cycle method. It is pretty good but i need to increase my
total speed dramatically (at the cost of extra memorization if necessary).
