I know this isn't exactly about BESM, but it's *kinda* related...

...I'm a HUGE Speed Racer fan (have been all my life), and also a
huge bicycling afficionado. I've always wanted a "Speed Racer"
bicycling shirt, but, even with the magic of the internet, I have
been unable to find such a piece of merchandise. Sure, there are
Speed t-shirts out the wazoo, and even Speed "club" shirts (I have
one...it's my favorite piece of apparel, despite my wife's disdain
for it), but what I want is a nice lycra bicycling jersey with a
Speed Racer motif imprinted on it.

I'm not here to ask if anyone knows where to get one (although if you
do, PLEASE let me know), but rather to find 9 good people (I would be
the 10th) that would be willing to order a custom-made Speed Racer
bicycling jersey. You see, I've found a bicycling accessories
company that custom makes jerseys, but they only manufacture customs
for groups of 10 or larger. I am but one man (with a dream), but if
I could find 9 more Speed Racer fans / bicycling afficionados like
myself, I can make the dream a reality.

The bicycling jerseys wouldn't exactly be cheap. This particular
company has "semi-custom" jerseys, which are basically shirts with
set designs on the sleeves, but with a blank space on the front and
back for a team logo, which run about $80 per jersey. The website
doesn't say how much "true" customs cost, but I would imagine it's
slightly more.

If there are any folks out there on the list that would be willing to
order a custom-made Speed Racer bicycling Jersey, please please
PLEASE e-mail me at my AOL address, RobPetrone@..., and tell me
you'll join the "Team." If we get 10 of us, then it'll be a go
(a "Team Go," you might say). In fact, the 10 of us can collaborate
as to how we want the shirt designed.

I'm open to anything. We could go with the simple white shirt with
the Team Go logo on the breast, like the shirt Speed wears in the
cartoon, or we can design a colorful shirt with a dynamic picture of
Speed and the Mach 5 on it (like my club shirt, which I can post
pictures of if people are interested). Whatever. I'm open to
anything. I just want my Speed Racer bicycling jersey!
