AH! The moronic people of Wizard of the Coast
have recalled all my event tickets as with my friends
as well! Luckily, we were able to keep our
preregistration badges. Now I have to wait in line for an hour
just to get tickets to events that are probably
already sold out! AH! <goes into a screaming rage>
yeah your right. But it has affected us as we
start later and later waiting for those people. And
they start thinking "well we don't start till such and
such time anyway, so I'll show up then" <br>THen they
are late to that.<br><br>Its a vicious cycle I tell
you.<br><br>I think I'll just have to try to fix that.

Well, we used to play in this chat room using
cheeta but since web was better we moved there. One of
the other members may want to run a game in there.
Occasionally we have IC chats through the messages....check
way back in the messages. But that kind of thing
comes and goes.<br><br>Talix
Yes there are several RPG's going on right now.
Unfortunately several of them are full. Jason (the other
founder) and I (founder also) have games - both full for
the moment. Brytestar (player) runs a game - open as
far as I know, DragonriderX (player) may be starting
a game soon- open as far as I know. Sarilla
(player) has a game but I believe its full as well. She
also has started a Digimon game that is using the
characters from the anime - there are still a few characters
open so if your interested you may want to ask her
about it.<br><br>We all mostly play on WEBrpg, which
was, untill recently, a free service. We've all
decided to pay the 40 bucks a year (10 bucks every 3
months) and continue to play on that. There are also
several players in the game that are not club members
that run their own games - you may want to get with
some of them, depending on how much you really want to
get in a game.<br><br>Talix

OOC:300!!! HAHAHAHAHHAH!!!!<br><br>IC: Just
curious, am I the one who wants to help? If I'm not, I
wouldn't mind doing so. I think I'm going to try to figure
out a Two Nickels a Dime RPG or some other RPG for
BESM. What'dya think?
Soon I will be planning the begining of an
extremely large BESM campaign. The game centers around
1930's Tokyo (or Chicago, haven't decided which) where
crime runs rampant around the streets with feirce
police forces chasing after them. Instead of playing the
good guys, you're actually playing the bad guys who
are basically a Mafia. As gangsters, you do crime
things like rob banks, assasinate good guys, rub out
treason and mutiny within the clan, compete with rival
gangsters, and run away from bounty hunters. Attributes are
a little limited to promote realism, but every one
starts out with free Personnel Gear level 1 (maybe 2)
with uzzi's, tommy guns, semi-automatics, grenades,
nitro glycerine, handguns, knives, and shurikans. Some
of those weapnos are free according to the type of
character. The game starts out with the characters probably
in a group. The head boss may/may not be a PC
(player character). The first adventure is probably
something easy, like robing the local bank or Japanese
quick-e-mart. Many of my friends are ecstatic about this
soon-to-be campaign, I just hope I don't become too lazy to
not start making it (luckily, one person I know wants
to help plan it).
I'm glad you're back, my dear friend. Things have
gotten slow around here and your presence makes
everything so...mystical (In other words, you didn't miss
anything except two founders arguing over a Sailor Moon
rpg and some rough outlines for it). Anyways, after
(and before) sending in my Gencon info I was
dissapointed to see only one BESM game (including related
spinoffs) among the bunch. You should have seen last year,
there were still very few but there were a couple BESM
games and two Tenchi Muyo! rpg games. There might've
been a Sailor Moon RPG, but I don't remember. They
(Wizards of the Coasts) have filled this year's convention
too much with D&D and AD&D, despite the fact that it
is their specialty. I'm at least glad we (Habashi
and Thumbtax) can fall back on what looks to be good
Werewolf: The Apocalypse games (excellent and easy to learn
rpg, I'm considering getting its twin component
Vampire: The Masquerade[sp?]). But still, the BESM game
for this year (forgot the name, I think its like
Akira We are Not, or somethin')looks kickass to play
with a sci-fi genre based game this year. Hopefully,
it is there that I might be able to purchse BESM 2E
so that I won't have to borrow my brother's version
any more. FYI for those who don't know, Gencon is the
biggest gaming convention in the world hosted by Wizards
of the Coast. It is currently running in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin, but will it less then a few years change to
somewhere else. I think maybe they're moving to Cincinatti.
Anyways, the convention lasts for four days from August
fourth through ninth. Games of all kinds are played
there, including AD&D, BESM, Star Wars rpg,
Werewolf/Vampire The Apocolypse/The Masqeurade, Magic: The
Gathering, Warhammer 40K and the original, various board
games, Alternity, and hundreds of other games. The
convention also holds an extremely large exhibit hall, the
kind of place that makes nerds drool, which holds
demos, merchadise, and celebrity guests (this year it's
Billy Dee Williams A.K.A. Lando Calrissian from Star
Wars). There's also an auction house that auctions off
various things from comic books, to ancient board games,
to outdated video releases. And if you're looking
for anime, Gencon has plenty of it. Overall, Gencon
is THE nerd heaven. I'm looking forward to going
there with you, Habashi.

"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, how do we live in
this world that treats us such? Try as we may, try as
we might, how is it that we strive so hard to find
what is right? How do we live? How do we love? How do
we enjoy that things that makes our hearts take
flight? When there is so much sadness and misery in this
world, how do we dare try explain our own sad, pathetic
plight? We who have it all, we who are free to love, we
who are free to cherish the little things
above...There are so many without, so many that know barely the
words to describe these things...and yet we live
on...happy in our lives...content to hoard over everyone
else as if kings..."<br> ~Tomoe
Hotaru<br><br>"There is nothing more beautiful than love...nothing
which brings the breath of life to the dieing soul more
than a cherished ones touch, nothing that can turn the
cold nights to glorious days as such...But there is
the saddest, darkest side of the coin in this simple
truth...For while life is not life without love, life is less
than life with love lost..."<br> ~Tomoe
Hotaru<br><br>"Six I see, ever present before me. Happy they are, so
close to divine they're quite bizarre...I can not
explain them...I can not understand them...they are
creatures of light and joy, creatures which I can but try
to immitate...They dance with the winds, and sing
with the seas, they see the beauty in the things which
only make others feel ill at ease...They are my
friends, my lovers, my confidents up high...but they
forever are apart, forever away from me, for they have
one thing which I simply can never seem to
see...They...are happy..."<br> ~Tomoe Hotaru<br><br>"A
light...a brilliant spark...a brightening of the night...an
angel reaching down to touch us all, with his blessed
light. To soon we close our eyes in fear, of that which
we shall hear, we lock ourselves away from joy,
content to hide in a sad little world that is our toy. We
never think of the blessings he brings, no, we could
never think of such important things...Ignorance is
where we are happy, it is where we belong, after
all...How could all of us be wrong to ignore the angels
words for so long?"<br> ~Tomoe Hotaru<br><br>"Life
is a dream...the sweetest of dreams, for it is the
dream which has no end...Life is the world which we
make of ourselves. The things which are bad we tell
ourselves couldn't have possibly happened...we convince
ourselves never did happen....and in the end, never did
happen...This is the reality we all cling to, the beautiful and
hideous truth of that which is humanity...Humanity..."We
who hide from the truth of ourselves"...what would
ever happen were this beautiful dream world to
shatter? What would happen to us? Would our souls survive
such a tumultous event? Or would we be cast eternally
into a realm of nightmares, never to see our precious
dreams ever again but at the tips of our fingers...just
out of our reach?<br> ~Tomoe Hotaru<br><br>"I love
him....he loves me...prehaps this is how happiness is
supposed to be...All I could ever want, all I could ever
need, I know that he will be there, the one who shares
it all...The pain, the horror, the tumultous
upheavels...The tears of joy, the happiness, the joyous
receival...There is nothing I would not give, nothing I could
take...nothing that would make this moment with him any less
than a divine act of fate...I love him....he loves
me...oh god, please let this forever
be...."<br> ~Tomoe Hotaru<br><br><br>"I am the one of shadows, I am
the one of mirrors, I am the one who holds sway over
all the hidden ears~<br>I am the one of light, I am
the one of old, I am the one whom while you are with,
you will never feel cold.<br>I am the one of deceit,
I am the one of lies, I am the one who none of you
ever dare defies~<br>I am the one of love, I am the
one that cares, I am the one that will shelter you
from your despair.<br>I am the one of two worlds, I am
the one of two lives, I am...Hotaru....The one who
lives these lies."<br>
All true, but the GM should always create
pleasing adventures for all players; it's a very big
responsibility. I have a friend that is usually always the
GM...but yet he does such a good job of creating fun
campaigns with varied adventures and puzzles and extremely
compicated NPC's of both sides of good and evil that there's
no one else that can do a better job. He's extremely
good at making an adventure based almost completely on
good roleplaying and story with extremely little
fighting. He somehow makes it worthwhile for everyone. He's
a fan of putting characters in groups, but yet he
often never starts out characters as such. It's amazing
how he runs everything together. I have to say that
he doesn't do BESM much but does AD&D and Werewolf:
The Apocalypse a lot more. Also, being fair and
giving a lot of experience to good players helps very
much.
It's a seperate and independent storyline.
Although the idea of PCs that are about 115+ years old is
a little far-fetched. When ideas pop-out of my head
I type them down.<br><br>Of course I'm debating
that idea about a 22nd Century Sailor Valis. I said
DEBATING not doing. It'll most likely be a backstage
advanture type show IF I do run it.<br><br>Talix is right
as a GM you have A LOT OF FLEXIBILITY it's your
world and your show and yes your rules. That's why I am
running a mixed Sailor Moon world. Oh and Talix you
forgot MY game.
well, as far as Brytes ALTERNATE universe idea
goes...... In my game a century is NOT going to go by. That
is WAY too much time, and I don't want to run a game
with only the so-called indestructable Demi who lives
forever and ever and ever and ever and....oh sorry. I get
carried away.<br><br>If Bryte wants to run Demi 100 years
in the future then that is his perrogative and his
game that he would have to run himself. Maybe he
will.<br><br>And there ARE more things then the Negaverse. But
since my game is a Sailor Moon game then the Negaverse
is it. As far as I know, I don't think I've rehashed
any of the storylines from the show except for one -
the Dead Moon Circus, and my game has been going on
for about 10 months now real time.<br><br>Jason's
game is a straight BESM game and therefore expands on
more then the Negaverse. In fact the Negaverse is
non-existant in his game. <br><br>Like any game it all depends
on the genre, the setting and the GM to stave off
player boredom. If you are the GM you can make you
setting anywhere and do anything.......after all...you
are god there.<br><br>Luci (Talix)
Hmmm...interesting but like I said this would be
a separate storyline. ALOT can happen in a century.
At the current rate of technological expension. Like
I said Demi would most likely have a home of her
own in deep space (of course jumpgate technology
would still be young.) who knows what can happen in
2100? Plus taking only 50 years for the negaverse to
return at full strength can add some interesting twists.
Hey there!<br>I just joined the club hoping to meet some other people that like
BESM. And if anyone needs an extra player for an online campaign I'm game.
Eh...how about a 'Timewarp' (gotta love that
song) scenario or event in the adventure where you play
the future scouts or posiwarriors and went back in
time to save some sort of big evil thingy.....or
vice-versa.
well as far as i know scouts and knights never
stop fighting if they die they get reincarnated and if
you knew you hade the power to stop evil from
happening could you just sit back and watch it happen,
could you really quit fighting it. and btw how could
demi do what all the major powers of the world could
barly do together, that being keep a fully functioning
spacestation. expecially with all the debt shes in now, not to
mention the cost of going down to earth and back. also
theres no way to keep tabs on every person all over the
world to know who needs help or who the bad guys are.
and why if they had all this technology would they
put it in demis hands. thats if she can keep her
would be freinds from killing her. the only way anyone
would put demi in space is to get ridda her.<br>
<br>signed,<br>the blue meanie
<coughs> Um, Gee Talix I think that I
goofed but I did state the year is 2100 and it's a basic
"whaf if" type of show. <br><br>I'm trying to figure
out if posiwarriors would have long life spans or
not. Then again I think there was a debate somewhere.
I must be thinking too hard. In the show it suggest
that scouts only actively battle for a few years but
with the appearance Outer Senshi seem to suggest that
they keep fighting the Negaverse until their early
30s. Anyone got some more ideas?<br><br>P.S. I believe
the term is meglo-maniac and NO Valis would own a
space station or some planetiod with the Valis name on
it. Sailor Valis ruling Earth as its sole hero? I
wouldn't dream of it! Besides other posiwarriors exist.
<grins>
Thumbtax 2000,<br><br>If you are refering to
Brytes's post then the answer is that he, along with
several others are involved in a current game that takes
place usually on thursday nights in a WEB RPG chat
room. <br><br>No, the characters are not "made up" they
are based on the Sailor Moon RPG by BESM. And also
loosely based on 2ed of above rpg.<br><br>Talix - GM <br>
<br>ps. Although for the life of me I can't understand
why whenever Bryte writes storylines for MY game,
everyone BUT his character is dead and his character rules
the world as its sole hero. <br><br>I think there is
a word for that..... meglo-something something.
