A blog is short for "web log". This is a basically a diary you write on-line
about any subject. People can make comments on it - much like a mailing
list. The most popular is Live Journal (www.livejournal.com).

Hello Everyone,
Sorry about the cross-posting, but I have two groups I would like to tell you
about today.
The first is a BESM Conversion Group at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BESMConversions/ where you can post your
conversions to BESM to your hearts content.
Considering the fact that most gamers like one system & will tend to use that
system alot, like BESM. And, considering the fact that a lot of companies, like
Steve Jackson, put out really good settings books that are rules light. Also,
considering that many settings & rules systems have been around in many
different forms, like Classic Traveller/MegaTraveller/Traveller: The New
Era/Marc Miller's Traveller/GURPS Traveller/T20. It makes sense to convert
classes, races, gear, ships, mecha, etc, etc, etc from one system to another.
And, this group is the place to show off your conversions. In fact currently I
am doing series of 2300 AD conversions to BESM.
The second is my PBeM at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BESMLawrenceKS/ it is a
standard anime world with a few twists... For more information email me at
either centurian_legion@... or fleet_captain_jaime_wolfe@... Also,
this is where I am using a lot of my 2300 AD conversions.
Thank you.
I bid you peace.

Hi,
I'm new here. Is there any games running? If so can I join in?
Thx :)

I'm looking for a scan of one of the pictures in the BESM Second
Edition book for an art project on "beauty." All copyrights will be
acknowleged and due credit will be given. I forget what page the
image is on, but it's near the front on the bottom right of the page,
a girl in a blue dress with dark hair, facing left with a slight
smile. If anyone can help me out as I do not have a scanner (or the
$$ to buy a new book) I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

A very well-done site, but I would definitely like a copy of the PDF. I would
appreciate it if you could send it to

mikeytx806@...

Thanks

heh, 'Dark' Sailor Moon. heh, I never thought
about it like that, but yeah. It deals with a lot of
the darker issues that the happy-happy joy-joy sailor
senshi never dealt with.

I kinda like
that.....Dark Moon....

And actually the game may have an
opening, so if you have a really good concept and a
background let me know.

Talix
Hello,

There is a dark Sailor Moon game
currently running (although I think it's full right now) by
the club hostess, Talix, but I am not aware of any
other ones right now.

I have Centari Knights,
but got it more for completeness than wanting to play
it - I rather like light hearted
action-adventure-comedy games rather than serious stuff myself. There may
be others in the club that are interested in harder
stuff like you are...also, this isn't really the only
Yahoo BESM club. You might try to find the other clubs
in addition and see if there are any serious games
being hosted my members of them.

NinjaElf
G'day (or evening as the case may be...). I just
joined this club and hope I've come to the right place.
I've played RPG's and wargame'd for years but only
just got into BESM.

The main push of my
anime/manga tastes runs along sci-fi lines, particularly
military and cyberpunk. With that in mind I picked up
BESM's Centauri Knights and was impressed with what I
saw. Thus one reason for me to look in on this club to
see if there are any others that have done anything
with this setting or similar.

Well this is
probably fairly weak as intros goes. Hopefully I will have
something of more import to say in the near future, maybe
put some of my notes and concepts out for review and
general shreadding. Until later...

Morgan

I'm sorry to leave this club, but since it's no longer active I will be forced
to leave. Thank you everyone for making my stay somewhat enjoyable sometimes. A
bid you farewell,

Thumbtax
In a Tenchi Muyo! rpg game two of my friends were
in, the players could only play different
personalities of Mihoshi and Sasami (although I think one of my
friends played Ryo-oki). One of my friends played psycho
Sasami. There's was also warlord Sasami, normal Sasami,
normal Mihoshi, male Mihoshi, and gunbunny Mihoshi.
In the Tenchi Muyo! game I played Tetsuo Chisaka,
space computer nerd that I've used in many anime rpg's.
The plot was that Mihoshi lost her little pink cube
think and we had to look over universe for it. I was
kind of shy and didn't too much, but I did reprogram
enemy battle droids to self-destruct. In the end we
found out that Ryo-ohki had it all the time. In the
Sailor Moon rpg all the players played made up Negaverse
characters that were basically evil sailor scouts. I played
a joke character, Sailo Hotdog Vendor. I could
magically pull out hotdogs from anime space. I actually
never used my actual powers, but I did choke an enemy
with a hotdog. At the end we were starting to fight
Neo Queen Serenity (it took place in Crystal Tokyo)
then she started to fight us, but she realized that
that would just make her as bad as us. She said
something like "This is wrong. Everything is so wrong."
Then I humurously butted in, "Not this hotdog!" Also,
someone played Sailor Bender (Futurama) which was pretty
funny. At one point in the game the player made Bender
say something stupid and the entire table said,
"Shutup, Bender!" Those were good times.
AH! The moronic people of Wizard of the Coast
have recalled all my event tickets as with my friends
as well! Luckily, we were able to keep our
preregistration badges. Now I have to wait in line for an hour
just to get tickets to events that are probably
already sold out! AH! <goes into a screaming rage>
