I returned from my vacation in Poconos on Friday, June 5th and by the time we
packed the luggage, packed the car, drove home, unpacked the car and then
unpacked the luggage...I was tired. No rest though, game night was on! I
wasn't sure I'd have many people show up since it wasn't the normal 2nd Friday
and the local high school had graduation that night. Luckily, I was in for
surprise!
When I showed up (at 7 on the nose) there were already four people waiting
(Margaret, Chris, Perry Anne, and G-Man). We started off with a game of
Geschenkt while waiting for others to show up (I won). I was expecting at least
one more person so we then played another short game, Domaine (Chris won
8-4-4-1-0). As expected, Joe showed up not far into the game. We figured we'd
have to split into two groups but we first opted to play a 6-player game of
Union Pacific(Perry Anne won easily). To my surprise Patrick and Jen showed up
about half-way through the game!
So then we had to split into two groups. Patrick, Margaret, Joe, G-Man, and I
played a game of Princes of Florence(I won) while Perry Anne taught Chris and
Jen to play Small World(I don't know who won though). Afterwards Perry Anne
headed home. We mixed up the group and played two more games. I taught Agricola
to Jen and Patrick while Margaret waited patiently to play(I won but it WAS a
learning game for Patrick & Jen). Joe, Chris, and G-Man played RoboRally(I
don't know who won this either).
We finished at 12:45 and I had to close up shop for the night. It was a great
time as always.
