[Astate Colony, Aiden Bravado's Apartment]
When he'd first been confined to his quarters, Aiden had been angry. He spent the first couple days drinking, and throwing things - pausing every once in a while to yell some obscenities at the guards outside the doors of his loft. Once he got that worked out of his system, he decided to find something to do with his time.
Though his command codes had been removed, his access to the colony's civilian commerce had remained intact. As a result, he'd spent a lot of time and money on making his place more comfortable, and child friendly. Once the remodel was complete, he ordered a hoverbike, and began modifying it by hand - if only to take his mind off the frustration of being confined and accused of treason.
At the moment, he wore only a pair of pajama pants (he wasn't going anywhere, so he figured clothing was optional) as he layed, stretched out beneath the aforementioned hoverbike, which was in the middle of his living room. He was surrounded by tools, and various parts of the bike - some discarded, others yet to be installed.
Ni'es Kauri didn't bother to ring the chime as he entered the Captain's abode. "Captain Aiden Bravado." He declared forthright "I am here to question you in regards to your relationship with the Romulan Commander Shiarrael t'Rehu and the subsequent activities you have undertaken under her advisement." Kauri trained his yellow predatory eyes on Aiden "please dress in something more appropriate before we proceed."
Aiden slid out from under the bike to glance at his 'guest,' before returning to his previous position to resume his work. "How is what I'm wearing going to affect your questions, or my answers?" Bravado replied, already becoming irritated at the intrusion.
"I expected you would be insolent." Kauri snarled but kept his demeanor composed "I shall add insubordination to your list of charges." He entered the information into his PADD before continuing "during your capture by the Chamalien entities you spent a majority of your recuperation period with the Romulans- explain to me what you did during that time Captain."
"I recuperated," Bravado replied as he removed himself from the bike, and wandered into the next room, leaving to door open as he continued. "Beyond that, not much. I was unconscious for the majority of my time there. Other than that I was either in the Romulan sickbay, or eating.
I saw the Ael'Riov once in that time, which was when I contacted the Command Center to let them know I was fine, and would be returning shortly thereafter." By the end of this statement, Aiden returned wearing his uniform, with the jacket unzipped.
"The Romulans are not equipped to handle human patients. I find it hard to believe that you somehow found a Romulan who was an expert in human physiology and had the means to treat your injuries- if you were unconscious for such an extended period it would have been more likely that they would have sent you to the Federation doctors for appropriate treatment. No." Kauri pressed a paw against his nose as he studied the Captain "I think it's more likely that you were awake for that entire period discussing strategic information with the Ael'Riov."
"I think you're mistaken," Bravado replied. "First and foremost, I was lucky to be alive at that point. My injuries and secondary damages due to starvation, dehydration, and a number of beatings both during my captivity and following my escape required immediate medical attention. You know as well as I do that the Romulans know how to treat human physiology, and have the same - if not better - means to treat who, or whatever they find lying on a bio-bed, in much the same fashion as Federation doctors can treat Klingons, Cardassians, and countless other species who we just happen to lend aid to."
"Secondarily, I have never spoken with the Ael'Riov about any tactical situations, or our capabilities to handle them, unless it related directly with a joint mission to which we'd been assigned. We're both high-ranking officers for two different governments, so while we may argue about minor cultural differences, or the fact that she'd be killed for allegations of treason while I, on the other hand, would have to sit through countless interrogations before being shipped off to a penal colony for the rest of my life, that's as far as it goes. Period."
Kauri sneered "I find your entire line of statements difficult to believe. I will be composing my final assessment at the end of the day and will deliver it to the Admiral shortly after. You can be sure that I will speak with your lover to confirm your statements." Kauri shifted his stance and left the Captain's home.
