http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=329525 Well almost three months ago, I said I'd be posting the AP for the game I'm playing with my wife. Between work, my...
Sorry if this is a long post, it's one part of a Zo idea, and one part reaction to thinking about s7s. I was thinking about some sort of kinda simple fencing...
... (snip) ... Right! ... Right. The way I'm going in S7S, fighting up to Fencing (or equivalent) MOD+1 mooks is no problem -- it's a Challenge rather than a...
Hi Chad et al., "Banking successes" is something I first saw in Sorcerer, but like nearly all things that get attributed to the Forge, there are probably...
... Weapons of the Gods, with the River? IIRC Sorcerer rolls successes from one roll over to the next, which is similar but not the same. Does Burning Wheel? ...
Thanks for posting this report. I've been meaning to introduce my wife to roleplaying, using some PDQ product (most probably ZoZ since she's not into...

I'm looking at adapting ZoZ's Learning Points system for something else, as a nice simple way of handling character improvement. However, it looks like you'd...
... I'm using a variant of it for S7S playtesting, and the answer seems to be: not really, but that's not a bad thing. Since characters are often doing things...
Check out the discussion about combining the best features of PDQ and FATE. I plan on running this hack as a pick up game at the local game store. Please let...
... Two great tastes that taste great together, honestly. I'd love to see dual-system PDQ/Fate games come out that make the best of thinking like this. :) ...
... see ... like ... It seems like it ought be possible. Though I have to say, as a writer, that PDQ is more attractive because it's so short and simple yet ...
... Oh, sure, I hear you. And if you're content marketing a product solely to the super-lite-system audience, you're absolutely set. I just think it'd be a...
... simple ... simple ... genres, ... solely ... think ... more ... So... what sort of timescale are we looking at for your FATE system book, and how will it...
... It's *so* tangential that I'd prefer to talk about it elsewhere. :) But if you're familiar at all with Fate 2.0's "here's eleventythousand options for...

I ahven't checked the link out yet, but I just want to say for the record, I'm so excited that somebody else had this idea. I love, love, *love* the PDQ...

While the proposed hack seems to take more from FATE than PDQ, I'd tend togo more the other way. I much prefer PDQ's damage system to FATE's damage system....

Hey, just so everyone who's following the discussion here knows, I'm Landon Darkwood on that rpg.net thread - and I'm hoping to take on the "PDQ base + SotC...
The one thing I like in SotC that I can't figure out how to implement in a PDQ setting is the way aspects can "go either way." In PDQ, you have a weakness,...

... I'm not very familiar with SotC, but in ZoZ and in my Truth & Justice game, we've sometimes used the same quality as both the positive and the negative. ...
... Sounds like a variation on "Shifty Business". Define it ass a quality, that gives an enhanced bonus in situations that it can be a benefit, and an...
