Hi everybody, <br>I am running a Mage LARP, its
been going for a year and a half now and its rocking
along. Its a great game, though to be hinest I get a
little frustrated with WWs style over substance
attitude. They come up with so many brilliant ideas, and
then don't take them any further. Having said that,
Mage is awesome, it is by far the best WW product, in
my humble opinion of course.

I actually just started kicking Wraith around...
talk about DARK! I've been playing with WW for about a
year and a half, now... started with Vtm out in
California, hooked up with a game out here when I moved east,
and met a cat who had a Mage character he brought in
one night when the GM had pissed him off...GM let the
Glitch in, thinking nothing of it, and the
son-of-a-bitch V. Adept opened a correspondence hole up in the
club...and let a whole bunch of sunlight in. 90% kill
rate... I nearly dies laughing, he took out every single
power-monger/asshole in the game, wiped the characters out ( Not that
I respect anyone playing 6th Gen in the same room
as a bunch of 12th and 13th Gen newbies
)<br><br>Oops... that's the bell, I'm outta here :)

Hello everyone. I just recently became interested
in Mage (and white wolf products in general) and am
looking for some good conversation and maybe joining any
online games that may be running or starting up.
<br><br>As for what I like to play, usualy a hollow one or
an orphan. A Euthanatos or a Hermetic could be
interesting as well. but I really like the darkness aspect of
this WoD.

Actually, two of the four members of my troupe
went to Woodstock (the bastards), so we haven't played
in a while. They did get out of the web, finally. I
ran the story from the Digital Web book where they
jacked into the SoE's paradox realm to rescue him. As a
reward, they were let out of the web.<br><br>It also gave
me the opportunity to sow the seeds of some future
ideas. You see, the Aquaman character knows nothing
about himself. He was washed overboard as an infant and
spontaneously Awakened in an act of self-preservation. So he
has no idea who or what he really is (sort of a fish
out of water, if you'll forgive the pun). Anyway, the
setup of the story had the SoE's aide come up to the
cabal and start spouting details of their
lives.<br><br>Needless to say, this peaked their interest. Since the
aide got the info from a Technocracy database, mr.
aquaman's getting a bit curious as to why they know so much
about him. (I don't actually know what I'm going to do
with this yet, but it promises to be
interesting).<br><br>Anyway the Akashic hacker is definitely falling for the
Chorister. The romantic tension has been high, but they
haven't done anything yet. (No time for leisure). We'll
see what happens.<br><br>As far as the Sabbat
character goes, he's from a gangrel bloodline of aquatic
pirates with an incredibly strong pack instinct. Once he
finds out that the Nephandus was behind the abduction
of his sire and several clanmates, he'll most likely
stop at nothing to destroy them. That's all that will
keep him working with the cabal, however. Who knows
what will happen once they defeat the nephandus. This
is assuming, of course, that I do run a
crossover.<br><br>The reason I'm hesitant, is I've ran the Mage game
about 2 dozen sessions now (one story per two sessions
on average) and they've racked up a bit of
experience. Whereas the Vampire game has only been run two or
three times now. So the power level parity is still a
bit off, which gives me time to decide if it would be
worth my while to get everyone together.<br><br>Well,
that's pretty much everything up to date. Sorry I
haven't written much lately, but my boss took a vacation
and I've been working my ass off.<br><br>Are you
interested, perhaps, in running an online game? I'm usually
off work by 6:00 CST, so if we could set up a
schedule of sorts, I'd be glad to play. (I never get to
play. I'm always stuck running the games. Please don't
make me beg. :))<br><br>Anyway, let me know what you
think. K?

I dunno... I think the Sabbat and the Nephandi
should get along quite nicely, until the Nephandi is
done with them. Talk about Vultures of a Feather,
eh?<br><br>Then again, I have problems with leeches who hang out
that close to the Equator...but there is, I must
admit, lots of drunken bare flesh to recommend it
;)<br><br>Most of the Choristers I've run into with ANY sexual
leanings at all tend to be pretty laid-back about gender
issues, actually...and I dislike Verbenas as a sect, so
I'd rather lose one of them than an Akashic. Too bad
no ones running a Euthanatos... then again, they
would be less likely to fall for the fake
Chorister.<br><br>THey're STILL stuck in the Web? Man, you're cruel! and I
bet you're not just leaving them in some virtual
lobby, waiting to be seen by someone with the authority
to get them out, either. My mate runs a V A,
paranoid, badass little preppy son of a bitch, and that's
the kind of stuff he likes to pull on us when he's
running a chapter...you DO have something by way of an
escape route, I hope? Or is this just at your
whim?<br><br>Must run, I've got a changeling campaign that consists
of three top-notch story tellers, three excellent
Pookas, a wooden doll with the sould of a 7-year old, and
one seriously wyrm-tainted son of a monster who's on
his way to talk her Mum into pulling the plug on her
mortal body, in a come lo these many years. It's fun,
but I have to go translate my only Warhammer 40K
character into WoD...I think he's going to be a KNocker.
It'll be fun.<br>:)<br>Ina Redline

Yes I am running the Nephandus myself. As far as
the cabal is concerned, she's a Chorister through and
through. The whole reason they went to the VAdepts in the
first place was to get information on who slaughtered
(very grotesquely, too) the orphans our supposed
Chorister was caring for. Actually, she killed the orphans
(and enjoyed it immensely). She's quite an evil
bitch.<br><br>It would be real interesting if my Verbena fell for
her (since you have the whole same-sex romance going
on, in addition to the fact that the "Chorister"
would most likely denounce the Verbena's pagan
beliefs). However, it'll more likely be one of the
Akashics.<br><br>I'm also thinking of running a sort of cross-over
game IF they ever escape the Web. I'm also running a
Vampire game around the caribbean, where a Nephandus is
kidnapping mages and vampires to harvest the energies of
their souls so he can release his "master." I think it
might be interesting to have the mages team up with the
vampires (who just happen to be Sabbat, if you're familiar
with vampire). It would be quite a unique mix, to say
the least.<br><br>What do you think?

Admiringly*<br><br>Stranded in the Web? Without guides? And a Nephandi in
their midsts? Ouch! Are you running her yourself? Are
you gunning for a particular player, or do you just
want 'someone' to fall for her?

Actually, the cabal was taken there by mistake by
a group of VAdepts. They went to the Adepts for
info and were stuck into the Web without any
explanation. They thought they were still in reality and ended
up giving the Adepts the boot. So now they're trying
to figure out how the hell they're going to get back
into "reality."<br><br>Right now they're going up
against Endon Oil. They generally sneak into a refinery
and blow it up, then hijack a tanker and drive it to
a third world nation where they sell the oil.
However, they don't realize it yet, but Pentex is onto
them. They recently "rescued" a supposed Celestial
Chorister (actually a prominent Nephandus) who plans on
seducing the whole cabal into serving her master Galarius
(from the Book of Chantries).<br><br>Of course, I'm
doing my best to make the players really like the
Nephandus; that way, her betrayal will be that much more
powerful and emotional. Ideally, one of the characters
will fall for her, but we'll see what happens.

Boy, your Verbena must be loving that...The Web
tends to give my Aetherian character a headache...
she's more of nuts and bolts mechanic, and she's about
as social as a stoat most of the time. If your
players are comfortable in Cyberia, leave 'em there until
you have something to drag them back to reality
for...and that depends on which subsidiary they're up
against...I take it the hacker/Akashic is leading every one
else around? <br><br>1) Be Evil, render him
unconscious, and leave the group 'stranded' in the Web for a
while. <br><br>2)Be Kind, lead them to something that
furthers the Verbie's goals.<br><br>By the way... welcome

I recently started my first real chronicle (the
other games were mostly one shot deals with little
actual character developement). Our cabal consists of a
Verbena eco-guerilla, her Akashic asassin friend, another
Akashic who works as a hacker, and an Orphan based
loosely on the Sub-Mariner. <br>They're currently working
against a Pentex subsidiary (although they don't know it
yet). Right now they're in the Digital Web, although
I'm not sure if I'm going to keep them there or
not.<br><br>Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome.

Well, it seems to be you and me... I think the
founders of this club have abandoned it. The main problems
with Orphan mages seems to be their unreliability, nu?
I have nothing against madwands, having stormed out
of more than one organization in my life, but gee,
whiz!<br><br>I got lucky with the manuals, my mate is an avid
collector of both Warhammer 40K and White Wolf anything, so
I've never had to actually BUY a damned thing. We just
had a wonderful week, busted up a Vampire game that
badly needed a dose of gaming reality, took the 8 or
ten legitimate GAMERS with us, and left the rest of
the leeches to char under a Saharah sun. Gotta love
hanging out with a V. Adept with 4 points in
Correspondence! I was almost superfluous, unless you take into
account that I was the one who got the GM so turned
around he let a pair of unallied mages cross over into
his game. Tee, hee. Nothing better than bringing down
the hand of reality on power-mad GM's. We're toying
with either a Wraith or an Arcanum campaign to get the
taste of cheap Vitae out of everyone's mouth.

I just thought I'd say hello to everyone. I'm a
general RPG junkie, but my specialty is World of Darkness
(mage isn't my absolute fav, but I still love it). I'd
just like to see how everyone was, and if you all ever
started you online game (I'm playing in an online mage
chronicle for the first time tonite, on AOL). Well, anyway,
I have little to say, and I've gotta run
soon.<br><br>BTW, my favorite traditions would be The Etherites,
The Virtual Adepts and the Hollowers (if they
count).<br>Since I'm a poor teenager with no steady income, I only
have 4 mage books, but they're all excellent: 2nd

of my fav White Wolf books) and Tales of Magick:

Heyla, allow me to introduce myself. I'm a recent
WoD convert, and have spent the past year trying
everything. My mate's a decent GM, and a real stickler for
storytelling, so I've had the chance to go all out with
character development. Now, let me introduce my two
favorite
characters:<br><br>*************************<br>They call me Ina Redline, and I
run a small racing
studio outside a fictional town in pennsylvania. I race
what looks like a '76 Vega station wagon, called Mary
(as in Full of Grace) and am currently on the run
from the NWO. While I'm affiliated with the Brats of
Aether, I broke with the Tradition after disrupting a
Tech convention with a pocket laser, a mirror, and a
potato clock. Molecular modifications are my specialty,
and my weapon of choice is a Wrist Rocket, for which
I have developed my own ammunition. I have a
Knocker working for me, and he says I'm almost impossible
to deal with. Go Figure.
<br><br>************************<br>Ananda bat Tabris, Bani Euthanatos. Grief
counselor,
employed by Child Welfare in Philadelphia. I have been
called a monster, an angel, a goddamned nuisance, and a
vigilante. I am all of these, and none of these. I believe
that children know what their lives are worth far
better than adults, but they have no rights, and no way
to control their own existances. I protect those I
can, and provide a gentle release for those cast aside
by society.

Hey. My name is Teri. I'm a Hermetic archmage who
is currently using my vast knowledge of forces,
prime, time, and correspondence(as well as demolitions)
to create bombs and detonate them on Iteration X
bases. From the looks of it, I'd say this club is pretty
new. Well, I'm pretty good at storytelling- excellent
if you like you quests chock full of mystery,
danger, and battle. I'd be happy to storytell, but I
prefer to roleplay. It's gotten boring since school let
out. That's where we role-played the most. Anyhow, I
only come on line about once or twice a week, so if I
story told, I'd probably haave to set up some kind of
schedule. By the way, if you're looking for a lot of
members, I suggest you go to the other Ascension clubs and
post a message. They're alot of people in there
looking for a place to role play.

Okay, I've ran a few games of Mage before, but
they were mostly one-night sessions, not chronicles.
We ended up leaving out a lot of the rather
important stuf (foci, styles) so that we could get into the
game. Now I want to get a serious chronicle running,
but I don't know where to start. The whole things
rather daunting. I have a couple of ideas, but nothing
concrete. Any suggestions?
