Re: VENOMANIA, important to have the rigth line lenght.

Hi Jankie,
Yes, the difference in the way the Venom kite works is amazing,
depending on line length. For me for most wind we get here, 30m is
optimal on my 15m Venom, gives great jumps, good timing with the
adjustment strap in. When I tried 25m lines in waves in higher wind,
that was unreal, I really liked the more direct response from the
kite, enables you to quickly turn the kite down or up for quick power
burst when you need it. Less height and float in jumps.

Also, I would like to ask how you are going now in waves? Since you
came from tubes, how did you find the transition from tubes back to
arcs? In waves, a tube is easy as a tube kite tends to always drop
down towards the water, which means you have your top hand with a bit
of pressure on teh bar, keeping the kite up and powered... therefore
one-handed riding is easy, and gives you good balance.

In contrast, the Venom has a bit of the auto-zenith, so you have to
try to pull down on the bar a bit to keep the kite from flying up and
taking you off the rail... so you need to adjust now and then and use
the other hand to pull the kite down a bit... is that your experience
too, or are you flying off the knot?

Thanks
Greg
