I found some intereting information from the site listed below on
line extensions. In summary it gives guidelines for line lengths to
increase/decrease kite size.
A general rule is 3 meters of kite line = 1 meter of kite.
So...
10 meter kite 25 meter lines = 9 meter kite
10 meter kite 28 meter lines = 10 meter kite
10 meter kite 31 meter lines = 11 meter kite
Does this sound plausible? So could a set of 40 meter lines really
make a 10 meter kite pull like a 14 meter kite?
I think line extentions work very well , I have been out in very light
conditions on my Bomba 13 with 40 meter lines, having a quick turning kite
helps
counter some of the lazyness in going to longer lines , I tried the G-18 on 40
meter lines and found it was very slow to respond.
in the case of the Bomba I would say 3 meters of line is probably very
close to one meter of kite.
