Hello friends,
I would like to add something to everything is already been told.
Please be aware that I ride Inflatable and I also sell Inflatable so
I have no commercial interest on Peter Lynn, at least for now!
My weight is 156 pounds (71 kilos) dry.
I ride an Underground Wave Tray 137 due to the flip this board ride
like a 128-130 of the new style boards.
I usually Ride North Vegas 16 meter and 12 meter.
I had couple of days on the Venom Proto 15 meter that Traig lent to
me, very positive feedback so I bought Venom 16...
I used to ride and love Peter Lynn at my really beginning: S630,
S840, S1120, S1510 (very bed!!!) G1 13 meter proto...
Due to need of bigger kite I switch to Inflatable this also due to
commercial reason as they sell better and easier..
Now regarding the Venom 16:
A big step forward for PL especially on this big size, the kite turn
fast pivoting on the tip in no space. Turns almost as fast as my
Vegas 16 meter but need more input on the bar, you really need to
crank it to make it turn.
The power is released really smoothly also during turns.
It generate a lot of speed on the board ( I was faster then most of
others riders on same size kite, see the table)
Finish, color, bag and battens are first quality.
If I can find one defect is that they don't write the size of the
kite and that the Velcro for autolauching should be a bit bigger and
not that close to the tip.
I spent the last 2 days in Seal-Belmont chasing other kiters to try
to compare.
The V 16 need 13-14 of REAL knots of wind to have fun on water for
my weight.
This is a small table for comparing low end power to same size
Inflatable, based on my observation and comments from others rider:
V 19 = Inflatable 16-17 meter
V 16 = Inflatable 14
V 13 = Inflatable 11-11,5
V 10 = Inflatable 8-9
Also the V16 has just a bit better low end power then the Phantom 18
(try back to back today) but turn so much faster, I also notice that
the Phantom stay where you park it, the Venom has the autozenith
feature on his DNA.
I can't comment on the top end as wind was not that strong…

G'day Jankie, Thanks for the excellent feedback on Venoms. Had my first V-13 fly yesterday and I am very impressed with the turning speed. I'm a bit worried...

Hello all, - My kite is latest production, what I meant is that I would like to see the size printed big on the side of the kite so that you can see from the...
... see ... That WOULD be kind of cool, at least for normal weight riders at popular beaches, however it wouldn't help if you came to my beach & out of the...
... i don't think there is much if any auto zenith in a V, same as a G Once chatted to the designer of the Bomba about it and he said they don't really design...
... Well I seem to remember the G2 I tested for a while had somewhat stronger auto-zenith than my P (which has nearly none - just stays where it is, more of an...

... Its still too small. It would be much more useful down near the spars and in a bigger font. I was looking at a 10, 13, 16 down at the beach over the...
Ciao all, V16.. Using 25 meters line bar 58 cm! Today better wind 14 knots and nicely powered up. Definitly low end power better then Phantom 18 turns also...
I suspected so My advice to the USA is USE LONGER LINES AND SMALLER BARS!!!!!These kites will not perform on 25m unless its windy.Yes I know LEI's have good...
Are the venoms delivered with 25m lines instead of 27m in the RTF option? I also wonder if anybody got experience using the phantom18 on 20m lines? How does it...
Lach On the Phantom 12 I am using 27m lines. How much longer have you tried and was it worth it? I just want some more low end as I have not found the topend...
Hi 27 m at least(this is what they are supplied with )I am not advocating that they must be flown on longer than 27 m to get any performance at all in the...
