#2 sesh on the V16 today, first was about 3 weeks ago the day
the kind Mr. purdy delivered it from monkeyboonanaville [ thanks
Dave]. That day was at emma, and the wind was a steady 13
mph, I'm 175 LB's and was on my big board, 169 litewave.
First tack out and back i was niiiceley up wind from where I
started from, I did need to sine it a bit ,and what a pleasnt
surprise,
nice fast turns,steady pull though the turns and the top turn
down was so fast I almost stuffed it , was able to milk some
small jumps, very smooth kite.
Today got east beach S.B. meater on beach said 14 to 17 and
I just kinda had this feeling it was gunna pick up so I put the
13G1 took the 148 litewave, one tack out and back , just even ,
with a bit too much sining [ think the wind slipped down a couple
ticks] , so I came in and put up the V16 space shuttle.Back out ,
nicely powerd, very choppy water , southeasterly hits allmost
stait on shore, but still climed upwind fast , wind came back up a
bit, kite was well powerd noww!! The V turns so much faster then
the G1's its a very surpising difference,my first jump I sent the
kite back and it shot across window so fast it pulled me of the
board backwords OOOOps , any way got the board back and
kept on , next jump sent it up instead of back and UP I went,
anyway this kite is amazing, it deffinetly has some pop and snap
to it ,jump after jump after jump and still up wind of the other
kiters .I did luff the kite a couple of times when landing some of
bigger jumps, and one time the kite almost inverted, then it did
the slingcky thing down to the water and tacoed,as soon as it
whent into the taco it relanched,yea. I think some more time with
this kite and maby some good tips from here and I'll get that
sorted out, I think cause the kite shoots back forward so fast to
the edge, maby I need to send it back just a bit more?
Anyway the wind picked up and it got so chopy and bumpy and I
started get to powerd up, got bounced of my board 3 times, big
old white caps, biggest jumps ever for me, came in, pulled to
leash the flaged out ,hit the sand and just huverd about a foot of
the ground, pulling kinda hard,a buddy came over and grabbed
it, said he had just checked the I wind surf and it was 24 to28,
no wonder sand was blowin every where, anyway,its 10:30 @
night right now, and its raining so freaking farken hard I gotta
check the back yard mack shure the mud isn't comin down.
