This past weekend the people of the Mystic Mountains and friends from
the Shires of Griffons Lake and the Skullands gathered to celebrate
the age old festival of Samhain. The village of Eldershire was abuzz
with excitement as a large number of mundane joined in the
celebration.

The evening began with the revelers enjoying the various games and
competitions as they `trick or treated'. A ditch field was started
and drew a good number of spectators from the mundane visitors. After
some well fought ditches the field was cleared and the youngsters
were allowed to display their skills. Some 15-20 kids of 5-12 years
old on a ditch filed is an awesome thing to see. Thanks should be
given to Sir Jamus K.O.S. , Lord Jeremies, Squire Siglur, Squire
Dopplin, and Zedadia for reeving the ensuing mayhem.

The ring toss, face painting, apple bobbing, and cake walk booths saw
much activity as did the Wenches tavern.

At the end of the evening a quest was held for the relic "The Great
Pumpkin" after several well fought battles Sheriff Squire Siglur
Windhammer seized the relic. Thanks to Morningwind for making the
monster garb and to Balthazar, Evain, Juib, and Theo for the well
played monsters.

Details:

Attendance: 130 (27 on the sign-in)

Donations: 223 canned food items were collected for holiday food
baskets. $50 was raised for the Shire from the cake walk and tavern.

Iron Man Tourney Winner: Squire Dopplin.
Thanks to Sir Christian K.O.F. and Ducal Regent Occam for reeving and
to the fighters for the honor and skills displayed.

A well earned thanks to the following for pitching in and helping.

Ring toss: Daggentear

Cake Walk: Teleah, Savanna, Wisperingwind

Face painting: Tandy, Foreststar

Apple bobbing: Lady Mylin, Thogg

Tavern: Lady Madame Morningwind, Kat, Thalyn, and Country
