Alternate Earth is a roleplaying setting for the RuneQuest game, set in Earth's mythical history.

This is where you can set a campaign in Mycenaean Greece, hop over to the Pillars of Hercules and then onto Biblical Israel, mix with the Atlantean refugees and the people of ancient India.

The Alternate Earth group will allow campaign and background material for different areas of Alternate Earth history, culture and mythology to be posted and discussed.

All rules discussions and postings should relate to the RuneQuest game, ideally to RQM, RQ2, RQ3 or its variants, including BRP. General, non-Alternate Earth specific rules discussions should be aimed at the RQ Rules list, Gloranthan discussions at the Gloranthan Digest.

This is a moderated group with membership requiring moderator approval. When you join alternateearthrq you need an email address or name that I recognise and a valid reason for joining. Blank applications will be rejected out of hand or will be queried and rejected if no reponse is received. This action is taken to avoid Spam and, so far, has been successful.
