TRs mystique comes from its members.They sit around half the day in a trance.The rest of the work day,they follow itineraries designed to lead the members into discovering the significance of savoring every sensation before its gone and the significance of being sincere,open,loyal,and dependable(DenounceEvilsOfTruthAndLove).When Giovanni and MaskedMarauder(TRmember who wanted to murder Giovanni before Jessies eyes and rule the world with her at his side)thought they were on the verge of world domination,they appointed Jessie as their witness.Thats use of oral tradition,and oral tradition tends to be used by tribes,secret societies,etc. that have been around since times when few were literate.TRsecurityguards dress as ancient Romans.Theres another oral tradition that TR uses:mottos.The formal(formal being talking to Giovanni)mottos are pledges of allegiance to TR,and the members mention their own names as if signing the contract.All the formal mottos also mention outer space.So we have an inconspicuous organization(most cops dont know of TR)that has been around for a long time where obligations tend to pass from parents to children;and that teaches survival skills,improvement of self,embracing others(members get fired if they cant hold onto partners),ethics,meditation,and is fixated with the cosmos(even in their name).The clincher:Giovanni(in the path he wants his son Ash to take)strives toward world domination(through anarchy)because hes sure that it would literally give him divine power;therefore,it seems that the other members of TR strive to become more receptive to divine signs by identifying different sensations(ex. the difference between fear and suspicion),by letting go of materialism(stealing certain Pokemon is necessary for inducing anarchy),and by being an open book(which opens them up for receiving divine love).
