Except for Starlin who will get dodge
I will be there tomorrow night and looking for a Trad Bash game, to see
if I can lift my dodgy linemen out of the gutter to the heights of
capitalist glory...please note that the first skill all these guys are
getting is Frenzy.
First game of the spring season for Kyles Block&Rattle Kameri.
The first half saw the weather fine and a crowd of 14,000 living and
dead turnout to see the match.
The kameri started the season with 3 Mummies, 2 Blitzers, 2 throwers,
and 4 skeltons. As kyle pointed out "Going from Woodies that can't
help but pick up the ball, too Kameri that just can't pick up the
ball" Ag 2 got to love it.
Kyle won the toss and chose to recieve. Things were looking good for
the elves as the kick drifted back to LOS but a gust of wind put it
out of bounds giving the Kameri a free pickup.
The ensuing drive proved the value of AV 8 elves as the kameri worked
to advance into the Elve defence and get players off the field. By
turn 3 the elves managed to get a 2 dice onto the ball carrier, drop
him and pick up the ball. Turn 4 saw a elf break out and long pass
into the Kameri half, from there it was two turns of broken play
before the elves scored first. 1 -0 to elves 0-1 Cas to kameri and
two skeltons restng in the dugout.
Turn 6 saw the Kameri reciece again, pick the ball up, pass it be not
complete as the reciever dropped the ball.In broken play neither side
could get any advantage but a Skelton got CASed but regenerated, and
two more rested in the dug out.
Second half saw a 9 aside game as players rested in the dugout. Elf
recieving so they set up to knock down a mummie and sprint down the
centre. So blitzer gets a 2 dice on a mummy and only rolls a push, so
reroll and get double skulls, thanks Nurgle.
The kameri push hard and managed to get a TZ on the ball and both
blitzers in position to get the ball and score next turn. Then the
Elf thrower (only one back) danced in, picked up the ball in 1 TZ,
dodged, passed, completed, and set the ball moving deep into the
kameri half. The elves extracted themslves from the melee at LOS and
spent the next two turns deciding who would score. 2-0 to elves, 2-1
Cas to Kameri, 1 kameri sent off for dirty play
The Kameri were now feeling the effects of player shortage. With one
Thrower back the rest started on the line for a fall court rush. The
planned move was working well until a blocker went down before the
thrower could get the ball.
The elves seeing an oppurtunity rushed the Quarterback, but before
they could get to him, he pick up the ball (1,5), ran forward and
throw a long bomb to a blitzer(1,6), anything less than 6 was a
fumble, who then caught the ball,(2,6) and ran toward the line. To
the cheers of the fans on both side the Kameri scored in turn 8.
Final score 2-1 to elves, 1-3 Cas to kameri
-A mummy with 2 Cas got MVP and promptly rolled doubles (block)
-A Elf Blitzer with 1 Com, 1 Cas, 1 TD rolled double 6 to get +1 Str
So it would seem that something rubbed off on both sides, The elves
are stronger, and the Kameri now have an Aerial game. Watch out.

Well, the Guttersnipes are only clocking in with a cas difference of
-13 from three games so far, so they would definitely like chance at
upping that figure a bit.

Short, dark, hairy, evil, pointy-toothed, sneaky b*stards vs short,
dark, hairy, evil, pointy-toothed, bashy b*stards, then?

I
support the idea of a mass “re-union” on Monday 8th Septermber
in the Queen’s Head. I’ll be there, as will Thickskull Smallbrain
with his No Bullshit.
But who dares to play against them?

the 'Black Fire Master Brewers'
Hello there!
In light of the recent influx of Chaos Dwarf teams in the Trad Bash Trophy, I
decided to
promote my own team to full Dwarf!
The Black Fire Master Brewers will be taking to the field from this coming
Wednesday...
but if anyone is extra keen to take them on, I could probably arrange a game
sooner than
that, but not before Monday.
I'm also interested to find some more 2nd Edition metal Dwarves. Looking for a
few
Linemen (or Blockers), one Kicker, one Thrower and two Trollslayers, in case anyone
has
some spare. Would be happy to buy or trade.
On the topic of Monday night Blood Bowl I'd like to suggest to have our first
official
Monday night event on the 8th of September. Being the week before the GSC and
having
Paul up from ChCh would really make it worthwhile... thoughts?
Hi Greg
Only looking for a tradmash game. 'Happy' to tackle your Necros.
What time at the old watering hole?

OK after a rough start the Lorien Spites are willing to leave the
safety of the trees for another run on the green. I've got Monday off
so can play day or evening.
Marc
I suppose you think a flabby naked torso
and a dab of orange hair dye makes a dwarf.
Fangs, bulbous nose, curly black beard and
pointy hat – now that’s a FULL DWARF!
Just as well the Chaos Hell Cannon isn’t
official in Blood Bowl. (Yet. My boys are working on it.)

Hopping Mad, the first squig team to grace this year's Stunty League,
recorded a mighty victory over the hapless Slit Me Own Throat Gnoblars
last night.
Hopping Mad successfully ran in 2 touchdowns to 1, but lost in the
casualty stakes 4-6, mostly due to the three ogres on the Gnoblar side.
With two thralls, one squig and one squig hopper missing the next game
for a variety of reasons, Hopping Mad's coach is understandably a
little trepidacious.
So the lead table looks like this:
W-L-D: points
Hopping Mad: 1-0-0: 4
SMOTG: 0-1-0: 3
Everyone else who hasn't played yet: nuffink.
Dan
Well this section is empty as no stunty games have been played. Please
post to this thread or email Dan on oopsitsbroken at hotmail dot com if
and when you have any results to post.
If anyone is in need of a team to borrow for the stunty madness, please
ask around. I have several of my own (Goblin Cheaters, Chaos Halflings,
Snotlings, Squigs) and I'm sure there are others floating out there.
Cheers,
Dan
What do you know, back to back wins for the rats... looks like the Gutter Snipes
are the
team to watch/beat already this season!
I feel for you, Marc... must've been one fo those games. Thanks for the (most
entertaining)
report.
Cheers,
Christian

Hey Paul, both very good points.
About the entry fee... that should be fine. Would be good, though, if those
people could
at least register before the tourney. There is actually a 'cash on the day'
option on the
registration form.
As for the kock-out, thanks for the heads up on that one. Will make sure we have
a plan B
prepared, just in case.

Lorien Spites (Marc) vs Gutter Snipes (Markus)
Score: 0 - 4
Casulties: 0 - 2 (but self-inflicted)
Gate: 20,000
Was there a thin veil of warpstone over the field or were the rookie
woodelves after the fabled wooden spoon...
For Nuffle did not favour the woodies this day. The thrower proved he
couldn't thow or dodge, a lineman couldn't catch a quick pass, the
wardancer broke his neck going for a easy block, and another lineman
pulled a niggle on a dodge that could of scored. But Spring is just
round the corner....fans, fans???
A couple of points regarding the forthcoming Greenstone Cup.
Firstly, for out of towners (e.g. Aussies) I suggest they
should be charged the minimum fee (as they can’t easily pay
beforehand). This courtesy was extended to me at Eucalyptus Bowl.
Secondly, at some point, perhaps this year, the number of
players in the tournament will be high enough that a day 2 knockout will become
impracticable. Worth thinking about this beforehand, I suggest.

My Chaos-Dwarf-bruised TR90 Skaven will be there and ready to play.
And they'll be there on Wednesday too.

Thankfully Nuffle was pleased with the two linerats' sacrificial
offering and spared the 'Snipe positionals from any permanent damage
despite the 0-9 casualty result and playing most of the second half
with four or less players on the pitch. Linerats proving their worth
once again!
Dan's yet-to-be-named Chaos Pact took on Greg's similarly nameless
necromantic and lost 0-1. But they won on casualties, 5-2! And that's
all that matters.
Dean's Dwarven Bitches smashed the Guttersnipes physically with two
dead in the first two turns of the game, but lost the match 3-2.
Scoring is as per the CanCon system this season so Greg & Markus are in
the lead. Watch the abbf website for full scoring updates.

Apparently we are going to stay with Wednesdays and have an occasional
Monday meeting as well. Yay
This is a welcome note from Dan to say hi. This group is for members of
the ABBL in Auckland to post to for the purposes of arranging games,
slagging off their opponents, trash talk, bragging about victories and
threatening individual members of various teams.
Enjoy.
