Hey folks.

I just wanted to tell you that my Finals are over and that i'll be
going home sometime around 5:30 friday evening pacific coast time.
I'll be around all day today (thrusday) and most of Friday, but after
that my posting will be less regular and most likely few and far
between. I'll try to get on often, but no promises.
Happy holidays to everyone, and good luck to those who have finals
yet to come. To those who have already completed their finals, i hope
you did well.

Happy Holidays, and a happy new year!
     -Rachel.

btw: the bubble won't work. How not is up to you, but getting past the brain coral has already been worked out, and will be conducted by negotiation and trade, not sneaky coersion. Just letting you know.

>Aeiyr looked around. "I don't know, I don't see her." She wrung her long wet hair out and walked back on shore, wings half-spread to dry. "Maybe she went for food?"

Swall frowned, "I hope so, but we can't wait too much longer."
When they had found the note that had been left, Swall suggested that they start on to the Brain Coral's lair and the rest of their group. Swall looked up at the circling form of Deciever, and directed her thoughts to him, telling him of their direction.

Well guys. I've finished Basic Training. I'm at Tech School now and can get online once again, especially since they have me working at the TRC (Technical Referrence Center, basically the library). I'm at Ft. Meade, Maryland now. Quite a distance from my home in Kansas, but I need to get used to that. I probably need to talk to you sometime, Rachel, about how to work Andrew back into the story and what happened while he was away. Thanks for you letters of support before I left. It's nice to know that even total strangers care about me.

It's great to hear from you, Andrew. I'm glad to hear that you made
it through basic with flying colors. As far as the game goes, nothings
happened since you left, the game has kind of stalled, again. That's
partially due to me, i've been really busy with school, and I
appologize to the group for not letting anyone know about it.
You're more than welcome to resume the game, Andrew, and I for one
hope that you do. Welcome back, and good luck with Ft. Meade. :)

Phyre ate the food Stavid had brought. She knew she had to feel better, to
keep going for the ladies in the Zombie Master's castle. There were bigger
things to do, and moping about Andrew was not in that list.

Phyre swallowed deeply and stuck her scared, hurt feelings back into her
gut, to be ignored for now. It was an odd feeling, but she knew it must be
done. The last of her tears dried up, and she felt a little numb. She shook
her head to make the little numb fall off, and absently petted Dusty as she
tried to think of how to get Cromby fromt he Brain Coral to find the missing
men.

OOC: i'm really sorry about not ever posting. senior year has gotten
busy and so i'm gonna have to take a break. i'll have Acire find you
when i can come back. i'll still read, though. bye.

BIC: Aeiyr walked over to the pillow-pile where
Acire had been sleeping. There was a dent in the pillows but Acire
was
no where to be seen. Looking closer, Aeiyr saw a small note tucked
under the corner of a pillow.
"Dear friends, I'm sorry but I was called away in the night. I
will come back as soon as I am able. Please don't worry. And, Aeiyr,
it was really great seeing you again.

"Come on, kids. Andrews strong, he'll be fine," Walker said with
more conviction than he felt. "Phyre, you need to eat," he acted the
adult and directed the young girl. "You to Bubbles. Thank you for
getting breakfast, Stavid." Walker took a pie for himself, and one for
Phyre and Bubbles to share, neither girl would be all that hungry or
feel the need to eat.

Deciever heard Swall and was curious. "Do you want to be alone for
awhile Swall?" he projected to her. Deciever had reached Swall and
could see her far below him, just under the trees. "Perhaps you

By the time she was done, the girls were surrounded by a large pile
of salt-water bubbles. She shook her head and popped one,
sniffling. "I think he'll be good. I'm sure that he'll come back some
day." Stavid numbly chewed his breakfast in the opposite corner,

Deciever still hovering in the air above the group felt Swall awaken
and was worried where he had gone to. Deciever responds to Swall. "I
was about to reach the other group and see how they where progressing
while you slept. Now that you are awake I will be back to you
shortly. I had hoped I would be back before you awoke and now I see I
wont have such luck. I didnt want to wake you but was curious about
the other group." Deciever changed to a very large roc(bird) pure
white in color. He had always been a black creature. No matter what
he changed into he was always black by preferance and it made hunting
easier. Deciever began to fly toward Swalls direction when he noticed
his wings where bright white. Deciever bends his wings to his face to
be sure what he saw was correct. Deciever jaw dropped open. He had
not done this on purpose. He only changed from black for camoflauge.
How could he had made such a mistake. And he realized he really didnt
feel like being dark when he was around Swall in fact. She always
made him happy. Which he wasnt sure how to deal with it actually.
Instead of changing he stayed his color which is how he felt. He had
almost forgotten what happiness was. He had obviously been a animal
too long and not a man. Deciever looked down casually to realize he
was barreling down fast to the ground. He was so busy staring at his
wings color in front of his face that he hadnt realized he wasnt
flying anymore but falling. Below him in the jungle he saw animals
and some plants running everywhere trying to get away from his
shadow. Plants ??? Weird place. He spread his wings trying to get
some lift and finally caught himself and was so close to the ground
he was flying under the tree cover. Luckily he was in a open area so
he managed to not break a wing on a tree. He began to rise into the
air when he saw a young roc running on the ground trying to take
off. "Well what my luck its a roc landing strip". He knew he saw easy
prey when he saw it. He desended lower and raised his large talons
ready to snatch the other roc. He had perfect timing. The roc was now
in the air but could not pick up enough speed to out run or dodge
effecively a roc Decievers size. Decievers talons where just about to
sink into the roc. When he had been struck very hard in his head. He
unadvertantly swayed off course. The roc looked at Deciever and
squaked in both relief and what the heck happened there. Deciever had
been struck by his conscience at it had left quite a bump on his
head. He had thought he had gotten rid of his conscience long ago .
Talked it into going on a vacation. He hadnt felt it for at least a
hundred years. But it came back in force. "Why are you going to kill
it? You arent even going to eat it. You were just going to kill it
and move along". Deciever responds back to his assailant "It would be
for the blood rush of a kill, for the hunt. Well worth my effort."
Deciever said as he made a huge arc and goes in for a second chance.
He was about to get him again when he was struck twice as hard in the
same spot. Once again he missed and the lump on his head was getting
bigger. "Deciever you have forgotten. I always win". He had forgotten
he could never beat his conscience. Deciever turned once again around
and headed towards Swalls location. On his way there Deciever was
thinking of how his conscience found him again. He had thought he got
rid of him for good. That woman must have something to do with my
changes. She making me into a better man. She is much trickier than I
thought. Very tricky indead. Deciever realized that Swall hadnt done
anything to try and change him directly. He was doing it all himself.
He was becoming a better man for Swall and for himself. Oh she is
very good indeed. I wonder if all the human women of Xanth where this
way or all the lands of male and female, even Mundania. Well he for
once felt sorry for those poor Mundania males.

Deciever
