I am actually arriving tonight. Is anyone else coming in who might be
up for a quick game or would like to try my new boardgame, Redneck Life?

The gaming schedule for Friday and Sunday has been changed due to mod availability and length. Mods have been added and deleted. SHE8-01 Severance is now playing in three rounds to accommodate the optional encounter at its
end.
Please use the Warhorn link above to check and adjust your schedule.

I haven't been cleared yet either. I can only assume that the powers
that be are busy with their paying jobs.
Any idea when the TBA's are going to be filled in with real blurbs and
mod titles? It's hard to really determine what you want to play until
you see those.

OK A few of us are coming up from Ulek, and we wanted to get cleared.
We paypaled last night as well.
Any Yeomanry law we need to know about?

Try two
things...one, it seems silly but make sure you are on the current WitY warhorn (sometimes people have last years bookmarked and go to it without thinking about it), and also make sure you have a fresh version of the page (hit refresh or reload) as sometimes your browser can "cache" the page and not reload it when it's changes as it's supposed to.
Hope this helps until Rick gets on to check the page on his end.
Is there something wrong with the paypal at warhorn? I got on last night to register and there was no link. also none this morning?

You see, I just had this image of me sitting at a table with 6 of those Chess Clocks and we would roleplay talk. When we got done, we would slap the timer to stop the clock and save your time for later. If your time ran out, you could not roleplay anymore. Would that mean that if the DM ran out of time, the mod would end? LOL
Read more carefully. That is precisely the point I was making.
In home games, those that enjoy long games can do so. In a convention, we need to keep an eye on the clock. These are different gaming experiences entirely and should be treated as such. My examples were to show you that it is possible for the same person to be capable of running both styles of games, depending on what the situation calls for. :-)

You may need to work on keeping yourself on track. It can be one that goes out of control on time if you allow it. The adventure itself tells you how much time to allow in each act. If you follow the guidelines, you will have no trouble and your players will have plenty of time in each segment of the adventure. It helps me to keep a clock sitting where I can see it while I run, to help keep on target without making the players feel I am rushing them. However, if you don't think you can handle this one, please let us know and perhaps there is a DM of another adventure you could swap with or perhaps one of the triads could run it instead.
I have run this adventure several times myself and talked to many terrific DMs who have run it also. They have had no trouble running the adventure in 4.5 hours or less and have given their tables the full experience and everyone has had a great time.
In home games, sure you can take all day if you want to. I often enjoy the luxury of a long game full of extra roleplay myself when playing with people I enjoy spending time with. In conventions however, that is not a luxury we have. Most players attending conventions know this and expect it. It is simply not right to expect the poor players who happened to get seated with you to get up 2 hours early or stay 2 hours late because you can't finish the adventure in the time alloted. They signed up to play games in certain time frames and we are going to honor that expectation. What if a player who doesn't like to stay up late got mustered to your table? What if someone who doesn't like mornings did? I hope you see what I am trying to say about the fairness of doing something like this at a convention. Even though someone might not speak up at the time, they could leave our convention with a bad experience because they felt pressured to go along with the rest of the table so they don't look like a jerk.
Our goal is to present a fair and fun convention for everyone who attends. We'll continue to take steps to ensure that goal is met for all of you.
When it comes to Howl, I highly disagree at any APL other than 2, but it is not my con, so disreguard what I FYIed. I just know that at YeoGaCon, we ran 7 tables and only 1 finished in under 5 hours. My slots will start and end right on time. I guess that means I will get some WoW time in after all.
Will we know what the judgement is on this? I'm scheduled to play in Slot 3 and would love the opportunity to have the full experience, atlthoug, 7 may b a tad too early:)

"keep a clock" does not equal "long game full of extra roleplay". Your right. LOL Sorry, but those two things just ammused me to no end. LOL
But anyways, I was just making a suggestion. I was making an offer of my time. Nothing more, nothing less.

AOL now offers free email to everyone. Find out more about what's free from AOL at AOL.com
.
I'm scheduled to play in
Slot 3 and would love the opportunity to have the full experience,
atlthoug, 7 may b a tad too early:)

It can be rushed, but that takes some of the fun out of it and Havard
did a great job writting it, so I want to keep as much fun in the mod
as I can.

I want to be at Steve's table! Especially if the Nerf Steins are full
of black and tan.

Okay, the judge's apl information have all been sent out.
If you are judging the interactive, you will receive all info you need for that at the convention, so no apl information was given to you in the email. We'd like to keep our little secrets a while longer. :-)
If anyone doesn't receive their email in the next little while, please let me know and I'll resend it.
So, how is this going to work exactly? Are you going to release a table chart showing who's playing where or find out at the con? Just curious:)
