The Western Massachusetts Chess Association is a 501(c7), not-for-profit organization, founded to promote the game of chess by supporting chessplayers EVERYWHERE, with a specific focus on those who live and play in the western half of the state of Massachusetts (WMCA was incorportated in the state of Massachusetts in 1990). We do this by providing resources to clubs (via the internet and traditional mail) and organizing tournaments, in collaboration with MACA, the USCF and NECA. This group is provided as a sounding board for WMCA members and as a way of maintaining direct contact with the WMCA board members.
