1.
Script that made realms
Massoud met these before, tearing or taking into wastes breaks place. Note well
though that last one met called "New France Revolution Hold" was protected. If
meet script that is hard to move, look into corners of place as there may be
other scripts protecting it. Make it hard to move and tearing it will likely
kill most people by turning them into numbers. (really, no joke, Massoud
suggest only do this if really strong)

2.
Scripts that held boxes closed
First was "winter" and second was "retreat" speaking word caused numbers to
disappear allowing box to be touched

3.
Script that is gate somewhere
((2 x 5) - (2 + 3)) + ((2 x 5) + (1 x 1)) / ((1 + 2) x (3 + 4)) - ((2 x 5) - (3
x 3)) + ((2 + 2) x (2 + 3)) x ((2 + 8) / (3 - 1)) - ((10 + 6) / (2 + 2)) = ((9 +
5) / (3 - 1)) + ((2 x 5) - (3 x 3)) / ((2 + 2) x (2 + 3)) + ((2 + 8) / (1 + 1))
= ((4 x 5) + (1 + 2)) - ((1 + 2) x (1 + 2)) / ((3 - 1) x (5 + 2)) x ((3 + 1) x
(2 + 3)) - ((3 +7) / (3 - 1) + ((3 - 1) x 9) + ((2 x 5) + 9) = ((1 + 1) x 4) +
((2 + 3) x 1) - ((3 + 3) - 8) / ((1 + 1) x (3 x 6)) + ((2 + 2) x (2 + 3))

Translates (after some tricks to trap unwary are removed) to "Jeromes Binary
Realm Construct"

Felt like gate "somewhere" so either this how undead were to leave once raised
or maybe this gate to other realms and was power that took away wasteland's
anger and sent it to smaller realms.

4.
Script that took attention of wasteland
From little realms made of maths that wastes really angry about. Massoud take
this script into wastes and wastes got very angry at Massoud so we burn this
script. Might be linked to "Binary contruct" above or maybe not.

I would also be interested in the scripts gained, even if only for the theories, concepts and laws behind such.

I shall also endevour to find the scripts of JB's that we uncovered on our previous visit to the steppes - The theoretical applications of said scripts being in the diary Brother Soheil has. Unfortunatly I got distracted from my studies on them with a book hunt, which has happily been resolved.

I have one of his diaries from our previous venture to the Steppes. I believe I had previously listed most of the content which talked about a number of things including the manipulation of temperature using Maths. Anyone wishing to read it may do so or I would be happy to hand to to a suitable representative to keep safe.

The Mathmagical Corp would certainly be interested in details of any scripts uncovered. I'll send one of my men along to the halls of the world to meet with whoever has knowledge of such. All such encounters with French Mathmagics further our own knowledge and experience and stand us in better stead for future engagements.

Well I am glad I wasn't the only one. Has anyone yet established who the current 'Reconcista' king and queen of Spain are? I had assumed Ferdinand and Isabel but perhaps that it was correct.

I can confirm that what Massoud has detailed bellow is indeed a clear an precise accounting of details imparted by the representative from the Reconcista of Spain and that whilst their methods may be questionable their intent appears worth further talks with those able to discuss the possibility of - as phrased by Alfonso Hermes - an uneasy truce.

As for the matter of the six small 'bubble' realms and one larger around the Steppes, I can confirm that these were indeed - as suspected - made by the French use of Mathmagics and the stability of the larger one was as a result of the purposeful redirection of turmoil into the other six points seen in the wastes almost like a river torrent diverging it's flow to these places. We actively managed to close one of the smaller points early on and upon following the trail of one Frenchman we investigated and collapsed the source.

To my limited knowledge in the nature of the wasteland touched by the influence of London and support of The Crown I feel that with the centre collapsed the other five points will fail if indeed not already for the realm around the Mongolian Steppes is much more stable at our time of leaving, the wastes have been pushed back somewhat.

I will follow this up with more detail once I have completed gathering information and have transcribed it from my initial more hastily scribbled notes.

The more I think about it the more I have a nagging feeling that Alfero mentioned Queen or Princess Isabel or Isabella II being involved with the Inquisition, although I freely admit that I may have misheard him.

I believe the man's name was Alfero Hermes but I will confirm that once I have checked the letter when I take it to the Halls of the World. If the Inquisition since the breaking of the world reflects history in the same fashion as that of the Conquistadors then it may be led by Tomas of Torquemada but I do not believe its leader was mentioned.

Firstly we really should see to getting an appropriate honorific for Masters of the Wasteland Commission , the Gods know theres enough titles bandied about now a days that that shouldn't beyond the powers that be , I shall see If I can pursue it. Often such alliances can be oiled with agreements on trade , in both information and goods, between the parties as other matters such as those Military can take longer. If my assistance is required in said you know as does where I can be found .

Well I'll be speaking to Commissioner Brown when I have a chance as well as the other Masters and I suppose we'll see what they have to say on the matter seeing as how it'll be them as makes the decision on account of them being the ones who do that.

Massoud forget, they very interested in realms and how to make them stronger.
Massoud and friends tell them nothing. Alfonso, do much healing and hand over
several objects we needed so felt had to give them something or we seem mean -
which Massoud is not - and before anyone disagree, remember Massoud paid 2
pounds for smelling salts and gave boy money to make bride gift and paid for
Penrose's bloodgeld.

Anyway, Massoud tell them about French realms made of oil and copper and that
tearing paper will make it collapse. (but dangerous)

They not seem to know of wardens or realm artefacts at all. Who ever goes
should decide if will pass this information on and what want in return for it.

more demon than man. Evil and fallen to powers of Set

Inquisition
Not much said of these

Reconcista
Lead by King & Queen from time when forces of Ottoman were driven from Spain.
Few people able to walk in wastes and they find it very difficult.

Man Massoud speak to was called Alfonso Hermes (might have this wrong)
He from Reconcista and wanted to let us know they fight French. He wanted to
form alliance (either truce or non-violence pact, perhaps more) with London.

We agree to send representatives of Commission to meet him or his people on edge
of Germania at end of 1st week in January. They looking for assurances London
not going to seek to conquer their lands. He was potent ritualist and had
powers over demons. He said he had trained many years to gain this power and
felt it was better to bind demons than send them home. In this way, they could
not be re-summoned or find way back themselves (Massoud think this is quite
smart)

Hoping Commissioner Brown or other representative agrees to go

OOC: I would like to know if this is the end of this tread and the "management"
will give us the outcome in January or if you are giving us a FL lead or an IC
lead

If you're a wee bit new ta all this, I'd suggest a bit o a rummage around t'
records here in t' Halls o' t' world so I would. There's some things that Master
Faffyn wrote down that tell a bit about t' wastes an such like.

Some things though

When you're walking through t' wastes it's not a good idea to hole up. Sometimes
you've got to - cos you're treating the hurt an such, but when you can press on
you should. The waste just keeps makin more things ta try ta kill you, so you're
not goin ta win by holdin a place like.

When you go somewhere that's not London you'll start ta suffer from what we call
the Cooper Effect. After some time there you'll start t' feel sick an dizzy -
that's a sign that you've overstaid your welcome an it's time ta leave.
If you can't get back to the wastes, an then back ta London, you'll go mad so
you will.
It's not somethin that happens straight away - it takes time.
More time in a big place, less so in a small place.

Oh, an people who have suffered from it before will start t feel it sooner than
those who haven't walked before. So if others near you start going bad you might
need ta help em out o t place.

Hmm

This is gonna sound kinda odd like, but the things in t waste don't have faces -
but if you look inta their eyes (which they don't have) they make ya feel funny
and empty an like ya cann't be bothered t fight anymore. So try not t look at
where their eyes would be, if they had any.

Mr Stone and those who have already responded,

I certainly will join those you have called to investigate these events, it
is the least I can do for the Commissions support since my arrival in this
strange city.

I must confess to a keenness to get out there and both earn your trust and
make some sense of things for myself, I will endeavor to keep notes of what
we meet. I just hope that my inexperience in your methods doesn't let anyone
down, I will do my best to ensure this does not occur.

This is my report from last time. I have added some things. About names. I can't come. Kharral and my father both say not to and to stay away from the rats. So I will.

We went into the mist and sticks like the one that hit my eye came. One stod on my foot. Trying to take all of me! But if you see them - throw lines and fight them with straight things like bows! Don't hesitate - or be like Horse and run! In the Halls of the World they say that everyone knows that, but everyone does not. I did not.

In the land, everyone was younger than me. Now I can say a bit more that they were like me; like I am dressed and speak. Like the same people. But younger, not in years but...like tribes.

There were also a lot of bent things, but we shouted and talked at them. I threw a line at two, but mainly people told them to go flat. They did. Greycoats especially. Ha!

I spoke to Ghenghis Khan but he didn't want to speak, he wanted to hit me with a stick.

The church made a shrine from rocks. a good one.

a very bad thing happened. We made a very twisted bent terrible woman Temulan go, but one of her people who was told to stand still didn't. The Khans will be very angry with the Wastleland Commission. We are dishonored. This is VERY VERY bad and we should send a message saying what happened. Or something. They will want to hate us and come with Horse and probably Dett as well and maybe some others. Not that the outside came and forced things. She was very bad and had killed many people and spoke to infernals to make her bent and a knife as well.

these people were in the doors not in the flat place  - they are in my report later.

We made a big mistake when a man who was supposed to stay where he was did not because of the lines not sticking him into straight. and we were fighting and did not see. He ran away again which means he will tell the rest of people like me but younger that we are without honour, because we did not say to the Khans that we were going to kill Temulan even though she was bad AND bent. The Wasteland Commission should explain or people will be angry about the Wasteland Commission behaving with no honour. but perhaps not that Temulan is dead if they are told like with Mirris - talking stick.

there were greycoats there and they were working a lot with blood in the air smelling - it was straight but very wrong and there was a Great Cold. Grecoats also - hit them with striaght and bent and throw lines! HAH! Although they are in the flat thing a lot so you probably must know that.

also there were saints who were bent in doors. also they were real, but not then. And I think they were orthodox chruch but ask Brother Sahael and he will tell you. Henry Wharton made bent things go straight and we went bent to go into pictures as well. that was when we met younger Khans and their people. Should have written that first. Yes!

Me and Kharral talked to Ghengis Khan. He was in a paper with a slug on him. Ha! he was a terrible man. three of him went away when Lyal made him. but he was not gone but still bent and still in paper. But then Mithras helped to make rocks bent for shrine and there was a fight (and Kharral helped but he was quiet and so was I) and then Ghengis went away to be bent AND straight.

The trees sang of rain one day. And the next day it did rain.

After I came here, I tried to talk to the Khans, but the great white waste stopped me. So they do not know, and when I ask they have not sent emissaries.

Also Massoud did not come for tea with me and Father, which is a shame.

I'll have to read the letter again, but is it not saying a new realm has emerged from nowhere and then after that some smaller realms perhaps carved from Maths. That is where Mr Brown wants volunteers to go, not the Steppes.

Massoud has some memory of the last visit to the steppes but as Edwin says, not
sure of relevance.

Massoud has no knowledge of maths but will turn up.

Massoud seems to remember Jerome Bonepart was lost in Russia but then he and his
friends were found. He was a great general winning many fights and subugating
much of steppes. Also something about visiting Americas and gaining insight
into spirits that helped him?

Massoud also remembers something about one of his friends, he was an archetech
(not know what this is however) and good at maths.

Massoud have a book of notes from last trip (where great demons were banished
and Massoud spent nearly whole time translating scripts) so will see what I have
and recount to whole group before we leave (if you want anyway)

Lord Martin Swallow not coming as trip not important enough for him as he is
great man
