Monopoly was officially introduced in 1933 when Charles Darrow started producing it from his garage. In 1935, Parker Brothers bought his game and the rest is history.
Along the way, there were many changes and experiments in the evolution of the game. Several versions were made right from the start. As early as 1936, Parker Bros sold licenses to manufacture and distribute the Monopoly game internationally. Canada, England, Ireland, Australia, and others have been producing their own versions of Monopoly since that time. Each of these variations has their own interesting history and provides the collector with a wide range of collecting interests.
This group will provide a forum for collectors to share their collecting experiences and hopefully a place where questions can be answered.
