BATTALION! Ah-TENNNN-SHUN!

VSQL stands for Virtual SQuad Leader and it allows the playing of Avalon Hills Squad Leader infantry combat game using the internet, either by playing face to face using the built-in server or by email using logfiles (for which probably 95% of VSQL players prefer using as it allows for playing multiple games per day).

The VSQL-Group can be used as a meeting place for all those tabletop armchair Generals, young or old, who still enjoy Avalon Hill's basic game of Squad Leader (SQL) and its extended gamettes that followed, Cross of Iron (COI), Crescendo of Doom (COD), and G.I.: Anvil of Victory (GIA).

Now whether you’re new to Squad Leader who is interested learning how to play or a veteran returning to get back into SL gaming and you want to take it slowly then this is the group for you.

Be forewarned, this is not a group for those interested in the Advanced Squad Leader game but for those who still enjoy the pre-ASL rules and scenarios. We have Survivor Manuals to get you up and running with both the Vassal engine and VSQL. We also have Scenario Start Files (SSF's) already created for your favorite AH Squad Leader scenarios to get you going. Notices of future updates and releases to the VSQL game system are also posted here. Available now:

• "HOLLOW LEGIONS" is the Italians and Desert Warfare of North Africa! HL contains all *NEW* scenarios, Desert Boards, Italian OB, and rules for conducting battles in the deserts of North Africa!

• "BLOOD & SAND", is the Japanese OB and Pacific Theatre Operation.
