*********************** Kimnor ***************************************
Kimnor and Meiron part company, and Kimnor decides to visit an old
friend who might have information about his familiy. As he walks he
thinks about what he just experienced.

His friend is the son of a wealthy merchant named Cole. The butler
invites Kimnor in and offers him a seat in the parlor. Presently a
maid brings him tea. Before long Cole strides in. Always the friend
of the ladies, he looks even more dashing than you remember him.

"Kimnor my man... Such a long time since I've seen you! You've lost
weight! What have you been doing?"

After some small talk, Cole learns that Kimnor has had quite alot of
adventures. He wants to hear all about them, and yet, he makes it
obvious that he doesn't think they would be fun at all. He also
sounds like he doesn't truely believe Kimnor, especially if Kimnor
talks about things like Trollocs and Ogier.

When Kimnor asks Cole about Rache, Cole replies "You mean you haven't
heard? Well, she married your brother, but they got along horribly,
and after a few months he got almost killed... Bunch of ruffians
tried to kill him in an alley, but you know Rochert, good with a
sword, your brother. Held them off until the town guard showed up,
killed one of them too! He got some scars on his face though, and he
lost an eye. He comes back, saying Rache tried to have hime killed
for his land. Runs her off the place, he did. He family believed
him, I think, which is saying something. Anyway, she left town in the
company of some rather rough fellows, hasn't been seen since. You
haven't seen your family then, have you? Light -- you dolt! What are
you here talking to me for? Not that I mind, of course of course..."
Cole chuckles.

Not much happens throughout the day. Kimnor can visit his family,
they welcome him home, all is forgiven... etc. Eventually he goes
back to the inn.

******************************* Bayn *******************************
As Bayn stabilizes Thurbalt he notices that the foul stench he was
smealing earlier has not gone. He looks up as he's finished, to see
the black clothed man who had been kissing the woman release her.
Like a sack of patatoes she falls to the floor, and the 'man' stands
revealed: his face looks like a skull, with sunken eyes, his black
cape twitches like it's alive. The thing then runs to the balcony,
spreads his 'cape' into two wings, and then flies away into the night.

Upon further investigation you will discover that the woman it was
kissing is the very same thiefcatcher that you were trying to get
information from. She is quite dead, but there is no blood on the scene.

After a few more minutes, the City Gaurd show up. They tend to the
wounded, but take the rest of you in for questioning. After fifteen
minutes, they are satisfied with your story and release you.

When you get back to your quarters, Child Roddam wants a full
debriefing. He seems convinced that you were fighting shadowspawn,
and that it proves that your mission is important. He suggests that
you get some rest.

The next morning, you get a messenger asking you to come to child
Roddam's office. He's pacing when you get there, and hands you a note.

it reads:
--to the whitecloaks at the ball--
"I'm glad to see you alive and well. I hope my dagger was useful.
Please do not worry about returning it. After what happened last
night, I'm convinced that this information is even more important than
I thought, and it is not something I should keep to myself. Meiron
told me that the people you seek went south to Illian. She did not
tell me why. Her death has shaken me... I hope you are able to exact
appropriate revenge on these dark friends."

The note is not signed.

********************************* At the inn **********************
Everyone else is sitting in the commons room, when you hear what
sounds like breaking glass coming from your room. You go upstairs to
find an arrow has been shot through the window (breaking it) and into
the dresser, with a note attached. The note simply reads "Stay away
from her, if you know what's good for you." The innkeeper is furious.
You have plenty of time to talk about it, but very little you can do
about it, at least until everyone else gets back.

******************************* 1 hour later *********************
Kimnor gets back to the inn. It's dark outside. Jasin still isn't back.

********************************* 2 hours later ********************
You're starting to wonder what's taking Jasin so long, but you're not
the the point of worry yet. Abruptly the door burts open, and Jasin
comes stumbles in, clutching a dagger in his side. He's obviously
been in a fight. He looks pale, like he's lost alot of blood.

OOC: How interested is everyone in the game? I know I've been guilty
of letting things slip much more than I should have. If I know I have
several interested players, I'll keep going, but if nobody cares,
maybe we should just end the game. Thoughts?
