Re: [TheRedBoar] It'll be a bloody morning
On Gwair's wave the rest of his household sets off at a trot.
Following behind is Morien and his battle, the sergeant with him
grousing as they go, "What no breakfast?"
As Morien crosses the yard, he sees the man on the inner wall left
yelling at them. Heavily accented though it is, it sounds as, "What
are you doing?" He lifts a horn hesitantly. What ever doubt is his,
an arrow skipping off the battlement near him dispels it. One of the
foresters on the outer wall has fired at him. The sentinel throws
himself down as other arrows fly past; moments later a horn is being
sounded from somewhere in that area. By now Morien is at the gate.
Passing through he sees prisoners guard by an unhappy man flexing his
right hand. Through the gate Gwair is ordering his household for a
defense of the gatehouse. To the left the larger building seems to be
a stable, the small a smithy. To the right there is a lot of
activity, men running in and out of buildings. To reach the ground
floor with his ladder Morien must bear right and pass between the keep
and those buildings.
Tathal leads his household from the main gate to close in behind
Morien. Past the gatehouse he must bear left and pass between the
smithy and the keep to find the outer stairs to the keep door.
Reactions/actions?
Tathal lets out a cheer as Gwair and his men do their work. Unshealthing his
sword he utters a soft prayer and waves his household onward after Morien. As he
and Morien head off in different directions he leads his men towards the outer
stairs. As the group approches the smithy he says "Keep your eyes peeled for an
ambush men, this would be a good place for it, pin us between the smithy and the
keep." He gives them the single to move forward and they head steadly towards
the stairs.
