THIS MONTH’S STORY: A Journey Into Darkness
The runes are collected, the Cult of the Serpent is gaining power, evil is spreading through Eldritch Woods at an alarming rate. Can Ezelle and her party of adventurers finally put an end to this madness and stop the Dark Chosen from awaking the spirit of The Ancient One or is the prophecy too strong?
So what is The Dragon's Keep (TDK)? It's part improvisational stage show & part live-action role-playing game (think Mad TV meets Lord of the Rings with audience participation). A few willing audience members are chosen as the Player Characters (PCs) and are given a quest to fulfill. To assist the journeying party, we provide them with a spell orb, weapons and armor. Our cast plays variety of good and evil creatures /characters (NPCs), who may offer assistance, create obstacles, mislead, confound or even kill the PCs. The result is a riveting
mix of comedy and adventure. Every show is a unique, NEW chapter in the ongoing saga that is...THE DRAGON'S KEEPCan YOU survive?

Okay, those of you who have been to the show have probably seen my
character, (Master) Kaos, seeming to get dragged into just about
everything that has been going on in the story. I thought it was time
I tried to tell HIS side of the story.
It's more than just a recap of the episodes he's been in, it's also an
inside as to what makes him tick, and what his current motivation is
for the near future.
Enjoy.

AH...my mistake. The PC card we had for you said "Sir" Kaos. Must
have been the old one.
As for how upset Krystev was about Kaos dying...how would you feel if
you had to guide a party full of Level 1 and 2's, then you turn around
and the only level 8 in existence gets killed?
Here, what's the idea of confusing me (Master Kaos) wit' me late
brother(Sir Kaos)?
By the way, from what I could see from above, it looked like Krystev
took me demise pretty bleedin' hard, don't you think?
Ladies and Gentlemen,
You voted, and your favorite Player Character for the September
Episode was.....
(drumroll.....)
Cullyn, the Dwarven Warrior!!!
It also seems that everyone's favorite scene was the Undead Villager
Horde scene...
Thanks for your feedback! It was a bloody episode to say the least,
but it was a lot of fun.
FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT MISSED THE EPISODE, HERE'S A RECAP.
"Lady Xanteer was initiated into the Priesthood of the Cult of the
Serpent, and sent on a mission to find a creature called the
Krakoul. The Cult believe this creature to be the link to
finding "The Ancient One". To aid her on her quest, the Overlord
resurrected Chaiman, the man responsible for fueling the Goblin-Orc
conflict (Ep. 11-Star Crossed Lovers).
Krystev assembled a party to go on a rescue mission to the town of
Kemlock, where the Krakoul has been destroying everything in its
path. The party consisted of: Cullyn, Sir Kaos, Caldwin Barondesh,
Cainon Redgurd, Ranger Rick, Giovanna and Stella.
Arriving at the wood and rope bridge that leads into Kemlock, Krystev
ordered the party to crawl across one at a time, as the bridge looked
unstable. As the party crossed, they were attacked by some sort of
creature in the water below. Huge tentacles slapped at them, hitting
the bridge in the process. Some made it across...some fell, but with
a successful saving throw managed to hang on and cross the bridge.
On the other side of the bridge, the party encountered a rust
monster, which killed three...and left most of the rest with useless
weapons. With no spell orb to be found, the party left their
comrades behind.
The party saved several villagers from random goblins. The rescued a
fleeing merchant named Martag, who sold them a spell orb, an amulet
of undead repulsion, a protection from harm potion, and some ratnip.
Continuing on, the party was confronted by a pastey looking fellow
named Chaiman, who summoned some Dire Rats to kill the party. More
of the party fell. Since the party now had a spell orb, they
resurrected all of their fallen comrades...however, not ALL of party
died in this particular part of the village...so even though they
were all alive, they had no idea how to find each other. The battle
raged on as the party pursued Chaiman throughout the village.
They were ambushed by Fiendish Dire Rats, and later, Fiendish Undead
Dire Rats with Goblin Rat Riders.
Xanteer appeared, surrounded by her Kurzon Warriors, and together
with Chaiman, they nearly destroyed the entire party. Krystev used
his emergency orb to resurrect the entire party back to his side.
The fight eventually came to a stand-off when the Krakoul appeared...
Chaiman knelt in alligiance to the creature, only to be struck down.
Lady Xanteer presented the symbol of the Cult to the creature, but it
cared not. It struck Xanteer across the face with its fierce claws.
The Kurzons defended their Mistress, but were no match...
Very wisely...the party retreated..."

The show starts at 11pm, so be sure to arrive early to allow time to

fun, and we might even give away some cool stuff.
MISSED LAST MONTH'S EPISODE? Here's what you missed!
"Krystev learned that Lady Xanteer and Gaurus were hiding out in the
notorious Thieves Lair. Krystev assembled a (somewhat) valiant party,
consisting of: Clerics Gareth Kryos and Monsignor, Rogues Grim
Heavyfoot and Master Kaos, and the Warriors Silverleaf and Tempest.
The Party found the Thieves Lair with the help of a troublesome Kender
named Blueberry. They carefully navigated their way through the
tunnels and traps. Gareth found some nice armor, which, once he put it
on, transformed his gender for the rest of the adventure. Tempest
picked up a cursed weapon, and start slashing at his own party...they
killed him, but don't worry, he was resurrected with his pride intact.
Continuing on, the party missed a trap, got teleported all the way back
to the beginning, and had to start over. Eventually, they found
Gaurus, but before they could apprehend him, Lady Xanteer killed him.
Escorting Xanteer out of the lair, the party was Ambushed by the
Overlord of the Cult of the Serpent, who put them all to
sleep...rescuing Xanteer..."
And here's the scenario for this month's episode!
"Krystev awoke before the rest of the party, and took off in search of
Lady Xanteer and the mysterious man who rescued her. Passing by the
village of KEMLOCK on his way back to Brindamere, Krystev encountered
fleeing villagers, who told him the village was under attack by strange
creatures. Can Krystev reach Brindamere and assemble a force strong
enough to save the village? And what happened to Lady Xanteer?"

Welcome to our world of Decada, Zubenel Ophiuchus of Titan! Having your presence in our realm certainly means that our tales of great adventures will live on forever from generation to generation.

To Fellow Guardians Of The Dragon's Flame,
Greetings, I shall introduce myself to this realm of fantastic adventure.. I am Zubenel Ophiuchus of Titan (AKA Jason R. Bingham In The 'Real World'). I am a teller of tales, a spinster of yarns & vocalizer of song, to save time you can just call me simply a bard. But, I beg you not to see me simple in anyway for I possess an imagination which will push the fantasy envelope past the edge of reality and into uncharted plains of magic with nothing more than my so called simple bardic ways. Feel free to contact me through this powerful sounding stone known as e-Mail, I will answer with swiftness. Thanks for this opportunity to introduce myself, I hope to have plenty of adventures that will be told for generations by the people of the land or at least on some backwater blog. I bid thee farewell for now.
Doc, you are cracking me up! Your presence is truly missed in our
audience.
Zubenel, (Jason) THANK YOU for introducing yourself! Any of our
other players who wish to be known...PLEASE DO SO. We had a great
turnout at the Anniversary Show, and I think we have found some brave
new player characters.
Some of my favorite PC moments in the last show:
1-When one of the PC's broke out in song..."Orc-ish Paradise" I
believe it was...
2-When Aurora used the "Defender Summoning Pan Flute" to summon a
magical guardian to her side, and then killed it for no apparant
reason. :-)
3-Beer Monkey...what can I say? I gotta have more Beer Monkey.
Thanks for making it such a fun night! See you next month...
