The note should have said 1 pm not 12. So the event will be starting at 1pm. You would not need to bring any thing else. Just come and enjoy. Look forward to seeing you all there. I will try to post directions this weekend. My number is 804-433-5385 if there are any problem gitting to the site.

Sir Marcus,

Thank you.  We have something going on that morning and will try to make it.  I may come alone or bring two teens with me who are interested.

Is this correct that it starts at 1pm and not at 12pm as the reminder said?

Is there anything I need to bring, other than (I assume) medieval attirre?

Greetings to the Minister of Archery, ( or whomever is handling reports for this group)

Today is the 3rd of April , I am just reminding you that the archery reports for the month of March are due. It would be greatly appreciated if you would get them to me today or tomorrow at the latest, so that I may forward them to the Imperial Minister before Sunday.

I do realize that some groups have a problem with shooting archery every month, however, it is still important that you send out a quick statement   each month,   simply saying...the  (your group name) did not have an archery event this month,  and then put your name  under the statement and send it to me.

This statement should take no more than 2 or 3 minutes and would be greatly appreciated.

Should you have any problems or questions, please call or email me and I will do my best to answer you.

My phone is 410-272-1521 and I am available most of the time.

YIS

Greetings,

Please remember that Archery reports are due no later than the 5th of each month for the previous months archery activities.  If your group had no archery event, a simple quick note saying.." no archery for _______

this month" would be great. Be sure to tell me which group.

If you need me to resend the list of information that should be covered in your report, I will be happy to do so. Just email me and let me know.

I greatly appreciate your quick response as today is the 5th and I am due to send my reports out on the 7th,

I wish all "fun " shooting and wait to hear some of your event shoots.

YIS

Sir Little John

East Coast Deputy Imperial Minister of Archery

the bigest thing is that most larps use boffer weapons and are done in fantasy aspects. The recreation groups use live weapons and some other types of weapons. Recreation groups recreate history. I hope that helps out a little bit. If I can help any more let me know.

Good day to my archery families  in the Adrian Empire groups east of the Mississippi River.

I am new to this position of Imperial Deputy Minister of Archery for the East Coast, so it is going to take a month or two for me to get my reports to the Imperial Minister  in line for what will make her job a bit easier.
I hope we can all work together and make this easy for all of us each month.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or feel I am not doing things correctly.

I am appealing to each Range Minister/Master to send me the following information on a monthly schedule on or before the 5th of the month.  Your December report should be sent to me by the 5th of January, etc.

In your reports I would like to have all of the following information;
1.   what group you are reporting
2.   the date and type of  event held...monthly crown..war..demo..tournament  etc.
3.   how many members shot archery as "bowman"
4.   how many members shot as "huntsman"
5.   description of what you were shooting at...bullseye target...playing cards...wand shoot...whatever you were shooting at, I would really like to know.
6.   the size of the target...I know this could get very interesting
7.   distance from target for "bowman"
8.   distance from target for "huntsman"
9.   how many practice arrows
10.  how many flights & how many arrows for score
11.  winners of "bowman" & "huntsman" mundane and persona names
12.  were there any problems or injuries pertaining to archery event?  If so, please describe.

*** If you do not hold an archery event one month, PLEASE, send me a little note to that effect, and then be sure to let me know when you do a make up for it.

Has/did anyone been Knighted in Archery this month?  If so , please, tell me who and what level.

I realize this seems like a lot of information requested, however, I just want to be certain everything gets covered and I promise that all information will be forwarded on as soon as I get all information from each of you.

Again, please feel free to contact me by email or phone...410-272-1521 and I will be most happy to speak with you.  I would like to get to know you and perhaps even meet you at an event sometime.

Respectfully,
IS

Subject: [Cashel] Crown War & Feast Tidings

Greetings and Goode Tidings to the Great Populace of the Duchy of Cashel,

Our most gracious Duke of Cashel has issued an invitation for one and all to pray attend the Crown War and Coronation of the Heir Apparent to the Ducal Throne of Cashel.

The proceedings will take place on January 10, 2009 at the Planters Club in Suffolk, Virginia.  The Crown War, which will be a fun war since there is only 1 contender to the throne, the monthly Crown Tournament, Coronation, and Feast will take place during the day's festivities.  It will be a day of fun, festivities, and maybe a few surprises!

A schedule of event activities will be posted at a later date.

Lunch will be included in the site fee and will be a casual sideboard set up.
The evening feast will be set up as a family style arrangement at each table.  Each course will be brought out to the tables by a server.
The planned menu has been posted by Megan Bayonet in the Cashel files section.  Megan will be preparing the meals for this event.
Fees for event:
Site fee, which includes lunch   $7.00 per adult, $3.00 per child under 12 years of age
Feast                                      $10.00 per adult, $5.00 per child under 12 years of age
Total cost                                $17.00 per adult, $8.00 per child under 12 years of age

We plan to have the table judging contest, with the same categories that we had last year.
If the trophies (decorated chargers) could be returned to me, then I would be most grateful.  I need to post the names of this year's winners on them and have the trophies available to pass on to the new winners.
Don Migele, I believe that you have 2 for Casae Equinus.
Dame Patricia, I believe that you have the one for Dragons Bane.
Zephroz & Samantha Ravena, I believe that you have the one for DeLugh.

If you would to volunteer to assist in any way for this event, please let me know.  Just a reminder that participation will provide you with ministry points. We have a variety of positions that we need assistance.  Some of these positions are listed below:
At least 1 server per table for feast
Coordinator of indoor adult activities
Coordinator for children activities
Combat Marshals
A&S Judges
Assistance with setting up tables & chairs
Clean up after meals
Entertainment (music, song, dance, etc)

If anyone would like to prepay for the event in January, 2009, then I can accept the payment early and provide you with prepayment tickets to the event.  I will also log in your payment and have the prepayment list available at the event.

If anyone has any questions, then you can either contact me privately or post your questions/concerns on this site.

As more information is made available, it will be posted on the Cashel site.

Dame Catarina della Torres

It will be over by the archery area. Follow the signs toward the archery and we should be at the pinic tables near by the parking area for the archery. My cell is 804-433-5385 I will have it on that day if any problems.

I haven't been to that park, though I know where it is. Is there a
particular area of the park we should go to, or will we be able to
find you by the manly clash of arms?

Howdy, all! My name is Jon Stallard, and I'm looking for a reenactment
group! I'm new to this, so be gentle. I live in Mechanicsville, though
I commute to Tappahannock every day for work.

I'm 39, married, father of 3 girls including 5-year-old twins. I own a
radio station group in the Tidewater region, and I podcast as "The
Vicar" on GeekRadioDaily (shameless plug: www.geekradiodaily. com)

So, how do I start? What do I do? What do YOU guys do, and where? Is
there much activity in the Richmond/King William/King and Queen region?
