Good afternoon,

I am Jeff Smith and I just joined your mailing list(s). I live in
Spotsylvania County, just south of Fredericksburg. It appears from
the Cashel list (which I joined about a week ago) that you are closer
to me than most of their activities are, so I have joined your list.

I have been in the SCA since 1976 so I already have most and/or all
of the gear I will need, as far as I know, to participate in your
activities. I have had a long interest in medieval things (obviously
enough).

Interests in medieval reenacting? I've done a lot of heraldry and
fighting (rattan, of course, and some combat archery), but have
mainly been in what you call the "ministry" field, as a kingdom
chatelain and seneschal and as a newsletter editor, and I've formed
two branches of the SCA (both overseas).

I hope to hear back from you soon, and look forward to meeting some
of you at some point in the future.
