ACTION!
Time Crisis 3 has arrived here at the office of yours truly, and I am
capping me some soldiers! I must say, it's been a long time since
I've played a light gun based shooting game, and Namco has done it
again, another top notch experience. I've seen Time Crisis 3 in
arcades and watched many of gamers pump quarters into the coin slots
of this unquie title, and now I can see why. It's simple, yet
provides a varity of weapons and different stages that have never
been offered in a shooting game before. Not only does the game sends
you down a crazy shoot out path, it is full of non-stop action as you
are blasting guys left and right. I love the ability to take cover
to reload your gun. However, that timer will haunt you if you keep
your butt down behind the barriers of the stages. Stay too long and
you lose a life when the time hits the end. Now I've been playing
with a bundled lightgun, branded as the GunCon2. I couldn't imagine
what it would be like to play Time Crisis 3 with out this accessory.
While it is a super blaned construction colored orange gun, it feels
sturdy and gives that arcade experience when playing on the
PlayStation 2, the only console that seems to be recieving the
title. But like I said earlier, you get to pick different weapons
within the game itself. Now, would I recommend this game to just
anyone? No. I can tell this will get a little boring after a few
days, so not a huge replay title. But if you like to improve your
aim when it comes to shooting, then by all means, check this title
out. Time Crisis 3 for PlayStation 2 offers a few of extras to the
classic shooting game scene, and it will entertain you if you are
looking for a no brainer, stress release session.
