They way I was taught is that in close combat only the hero whos' turn it is (i.e. the attacker) can inflict damage. If the attackers' target wins the opposed...
... True, but they both get a turn and can both be 'the attacker' within a turn. ... Well, 'that attack' misses, but to say nothing happens would be incorrect....
... It should be noted that closing can happen very quickly in S2. In the example from my previous posts, the thing can charge 26" per turn when closing, so...
I had a problem with the rules allowing all ranged attacks to be used in close contact and thought that it gave shooters a great advantage, and I believe the...
... It is not usually advantageous for shooters to stay in melee with melee specialists, shooter lifespan is very short. ... There used to be a penalty for...
... <Snip> ... What prompted this in gaming was that a shooting model would spend 1AP to move away and then shoot anyway, so shooting in close combat was a...
... I'm pretty sure the above didn't prompt it (I think I did). The above would provoke a free attack from the melee opponent and thus not be advantageous. ...
... The answer for me seems to be in the combination of the annex house rule of "not in melee combat" applied appropriately to equipment along with some sort...
... Are you sure you want to do this, most games allow ranged attacks in combat for a reason (even champions). Unless they have a focus, its not really...
Since I am on a roll, her are some more ideas to get people talking. Can you believe I have finally gotten around to reading the vehicle rules after having...
Hi, We have discussed it and Scott has agreed on a rules change for Ranged Attacks. When in close combat, you can perform an RA against any attacker you are...
Hi, FYI, I updated the Annex and moved the old house rules page over to a beta test page (since that's what its been for quite some time now). Here you'll find...
