# Curse/death + duration effects
If a character is cursed or dies, what happens to affects that are
created by powers that get turned off or are removed?
Examples:
1. Claude is Intangible due to his own Intangibility power. He gets
cursed, does he lose Intangible? If not, is the only involuntary way
to become intangible through Mind Control?
2. Sinistra has Freeze and successfully freezes Igor. If Sinistra
dies does Igor lose "Frozen"?
3. Vlad has Mind Control and successfully strikes Leona, making her
a "Slave". Vlad dies before Leona's owner's turn. If "Slave" stays,
then Leona is not moved at all since no one holds the Mind Control
card. If "Slave" drops, then the answer to (2) is that Igor loses Frozen.
4. Vlad has Mind Control and successfully strikes Leona, making her
a Slave. Vlad is cursed before Leona's owner's turn. If "Slave" stays,
then Leona is controlled by by Vlad's owner since he still holds Mind
Control even though it is disabled. If "Slave" drops then the answer
to (1) is that Intangibility drops.
# Frozen + non-damaging strike
Igor is Frozen. Vlad has Thievery. On a successful strike using
Thievery, "Frozen" is removed from Igor, but does Vlad get to steal a
gadget from Igor? This question is relevant to other strikes like Mind
Control or anything with knockback. Do the effects of the strike other
than damage take place when they unfreeze someone?
# Chameleon + Mind Control
Mind Control specifically states "by the player who holds this card"
and "the holder of this card". If Igor has Chameleon and stands within
Chameleon range of Vlad who has Mind Control, and Igor Chameleon's
Mind Control and then successfully strikes against Leona using Mind
Control, making her a Slave. On Leona's owner's turn, the player
holding the Mind Control card is the player controlling Vlad, not
Igor. Does this mean that even though Igor's player created the Slave,
Vlad's player controls it?
Thanks for listening,
