Diabetes is a horrific disease and Doyle's Room has generously joined the fight.
They now have a charity poker tournament up and will make a donation for every
event. I encourage you to support the fight by playing the tournament. Since it
is only $10.00 + $1 T. fee, everyone can afford to play.  We hope that you will
play and join the fight too.  Please register as soon as possible and encourage

As most of you are aware betting limits will change in Florida come
July 1st.

Here is some info as I have it now.  Remember nothing is set in
stone as of yet.

I talked with several floor's at the Jacksonville Best Bet last
night. And as it stands now they are waiting for "rules" to come
down from the "Division of Pari-mutuel Wagering" to finalize just
what and how they will be running after July 1st.

A few things they are leaning to are:
1) A spread limit stud game [very likely]
2) A spread limit Holdem game [likely]
3) A Bad-Beat jackpot [very likely]
But not a High Hand one, you will still get a hat for Royal
4) The rake on the No-Limit game will NOT be TIMED, same 10% up to
$5.

Not much else has been decided, they are kicking around alot of
things but nothing has been set.

They have ordered Green ($25) and Black ($100) chips, plus more of
the Red ($5) ones.

I will check again and post if anything changes, but I suspect that
alot of things will not be set till just before the 1st.

We play in St Augustine South Monday nights.  Right now there are 6-
7 regulars and we are looking to round it out to 10 or so.  We play
pot limit, 20.00 max buy in with .25 and .50 blinds.  We may
consider raising the stakes if people would like to. NO RAKE EVER.
BYOB. There is a refrigerator to keep your beer or soda cold.  We
may Play a tournament sometimes, stakes wil vary from 10-50 buy in

Welcome to the St. Augustine Poker Group.  I know there is a group
