Hey Patrick, hope you guys are doing well. Some people who go to SoCalGames
and who might be interested in doing this are at BGG Con this weekend, so if
you can wait for an answer til next week, that will be better.

Folks,
Since I am living in Florida now, is there anyone in SoCal who is willing to do
the website? I will be happy to send all of the files to you, and transfer the
name ownership, which expires sometime in 2011 I believe.
I am certain that you can do whatever you want artistically, and I know the site
needs it.
Let me know,
Patrick

Best wishes to Jonathan for a quick recovery. I have to avenge your
Martian Rails victory by one point, after all.

I am sorry to hear you have had some medical issues. I know your brother is a
good Dr as I have seen him and he is my wifes primary care Dr also. You are in
good hands, take care and get back to gaming when your feeling better.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone,

All of that is in the link I posted. The pics are no different than those
already on BGG. I appreciate it when others keep non-SoCalGames stuff brief,
so I followed suit.

This is the PDF flier I did not figure out how to attach except as a reply
with my neat little grahics my younges daughter helped me figure out how
to do.
I know its primitive, but its still an improvement over what I am used to.
Funny how the youngest ones among us know the most about some of the
graphics stuff!

Friday November 27th (the day after Thanksgiving we have a games day a the
convention LOSCON at the LAX Marriot hotel starting at 10:00 am. come joins us
if you prefer gaming to facing the shopping crowds.
contact me at Terry@... if you need any info. This has been an annual
event for the last 2 years, and Patrick usually promoted it, so please bear with
me, as I have never tried to send this to the group before!
I don't see how to attach a flier, so I may respond to this with a flier as soon
as this goes out, so forgive me in advance for sending 2 messages about this!
We will do door prizes at 8:00 pm so anyone coming from work can get there
first. The cost is $5 for the door, but unfortuantely parking can be an issue,
so there is parking available through the hotel at a special convention rate,
but that is still $10.
Come join us there!
Friends,
You
are invited to a student Game Fair that takes place at the LA Film School in
Hollywood (6353 Sunset Blvd., near Vine) next Wednesday (Nov 18th),
from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Students in the school’s new degree program in Game
Production
will present their board game prototypes as part of the class Analog Game
Theory (which I teach) and there will also be tables set up for causal gaming
(the school has a collection of games that will be made available; visitors may
also bring their own).
There’s
no schedule, so you can come at any time and stay as little or as long as
convenient – and it’s FREE. You’ll get a chance to look at, play and grade
the game
prototypes that the students have created, and this will directly impact their
grades in the class.
I
hope you’ll take the opportunity to come to Hollywood next Wednesday for a fun
gaming night, and for an opportunity to support board game education.
I
hope to see many of you there.
Martin
PS.
Thanks to Westside Spielers for supporting the event.
