fun RPGA activity due to an extrememly active gaming community in and
around the San Francisco area, which runs events all year round
throughout Northern California! This year, over Labor Day Weekend, we
are extending our offerings exclusively to our RPGA players! We will
offer a total of twelve slots of LFR gaming over the long holiday
weekend, including this year's GenCon specials! The event is being run
by Sr. Judge Bart Scott who ran the biggest RPGA event ever on the West
Coast a couple years back with over 250 tables of gaming goodness. Door
prizes for players at the beginning of every round of play! And the
hotel is a marvelous place to play! The Santa Clara Marriott Hotel is
offering a really low convention hotel rate of only $99 a night!
Pacificon also has a dealers room with the kinds of games you like to
play. As the West Coast Wargaming Conference, Pacificon is more than
*just* role playing...it is the home of the 5th annual West Coast
Boardgame Championships, featuring 33 tournaments with plaques awarded
to top finishers. Where else can you play radio controlled laser tank
battles, but on the second story rooftop of the parking garage! Our
extensive demo program allows gamers a chance to win the game they just
learned how to play! Pacificon also hosts the largest array of
miniatures games on the West Coast, a war college, seminar track, and
tons of fun! For RPGA Judges, it doesn't get better on the West Coast.
Four slots earns you your badge, raffle tickets for Judge Swag, and
entry to the PacifiConSuite, where we have sodas and snacks for you to
rest and recharge in. Judge six slots and we add a convention T-shirt as
well, and eight slots in addition to the above, earns you a partial room
reimbursement (much nicer than 'crash space', you actually get a bed to
sleep in!) Also, the show is a great place to take a family vacation
with the hotel being right next door to the Great America Theme Park
(which has fireworks the weekend of the con - you can watch from your
hotel room!), as well as the fun city of San Francisco, less than an
hour up the pennisula, with CableCars, Fisherman's Wharf, and so much
more. You can also visit the Winchester Mystery House in nearby San
Jose! So, there you have it. Come and be part of what is bound to be
