Hi, I'm planning to be there as usual. I'd like to try Battlelore,
especially after the hype on BGG, but I've heard it's a two-player game
and fairly long. Actually, most of the games I'd like to try and haven't
yet are two-player games, because all of the game groups I go to favor
multi-player games almost exclusively.

Dear All:
This is just a friendly reminder that we will be having our group game
day this Sunday. I know it is the day after Gamesday, so just think
if you play on Saturday why not on Sunday, make it a whole weekend of
games. I will be bringing, Caylus, Antike, Battlelore, Mission Red
Planet, Tikal, Goa, Age of Steam, Hey Where's My Fish, Ticket to Ride
1910, and many more.
This is to confirm, the group will be meeting on Sunday the 17th.
12:30 to 5:00 PM. I sent out an e-mail in error with the wrong date.
The calendar feature is correct, and shows the 17th.
Hope to see you on the 17th.
Andrew
I think you mean Dec. 17 (another Games Day weekend).

This Sunday, October 15th is our normal Sunday to meet, and we will
meet as usual. Please note I will only be able to bring about 10-15
games with me to share, so please bring a game with you to share.
However, We will not meet in Novemember. The 19th is our normal
Sunday to meet and I have to cancel the meeting for this Sunday. I am
sorry for any inconveince this might cause.
So in summary we will meet October 15th, and December 15th, please
mark your calenders.
Thanks,
Andrew
I usually play my own abstract games online and almost never in real
life. If anybody thinks they'd like to play any of my games
(marksteeregames.com), let me know and I'll bring them to your meeting.
Dear All:
This Sunday is the next scheduled meeting for the Santa Clara Game
Group. I know we will have Bay Area Game Day hangover. I also have
to announce we have to end playing today at 1600, I have to lock up
and be some where by 1700. Hope to see you Sunday.

Glad to meet you. Additional gaming groups in the area you may find
interesting are listed here:
http://kanga.nu/Members/JCLawrence/misc/BAGaming/
Looking at your game ratings other groups I'd recommend in addition to
this one:
SB-Boardgamers (plays at Yahoo! every Monday evening)
SVB (plays in Mountain View every Wednesday evening)
BAP (gamesday in Foster City last Saturday of every month)
Gamesday (gamesday every ~6 weeks in Los Altos public Library)

Clarifying: I'm more than willing to teach Age of Steam to new players,
as well as the 18XX games such as 1830, 1856 or 1870 (we can play the
18XX with a computer moderator so that they can be played in a few
hours). However for playtesting new maps I'd prefer experienced Age of
Steam players.

Would there be any interest in Age of Steam and perhaps in playtesting a
new Age of Steam map (experienced players onle please)?

All,
I'll have the standard Great Lakes map, as well as Ted
Alspach's expansion map for Northern California/1830's
Pennsylvania. We can select a map depending on the
experience level of the gamers attending. If Andrew
brings his game we could potentially run both the
standard map and the expansion.
See you Sunday,
Devin

Firstly everyone enjoy Mother's Day and/or Games Day in Los Altos. If
you have never been, Games Day's are very fun indeed. We will be
meeting on the 21st between 12:30 and 5:00 PM, I will have KublaCon's
schedule to view. We will be playing Age of Steam run by Devin who
will be running it at Kubla, if you are running a game or planning on
playing one this would be a great palce to practice before Kubla starts
the next weekend after we meet. Hope to see everyone on the 21st.

Andrew,
Thanks for organizing this. I had a great time. I gave your wife a
few bucks for the food. Come on, everyone, Andrew isn't our long-lost
rich uncle, let's help him out here!
Thanks again,

I'll be there after the Shark's game. What's on the table today?
Please remember: Santa Clara Game Group is meeting on Sunday, April
23rd this month, this is the 4th Sunday. 12:30 to 4:30. St. Mark's
Episcopal Church, 1957 Prunridge Ave, Santa Clara, CA 95050
SayHey Folks-
I wish you all the best with this group.
I have joined out of curiosity, and because I was a long-time Santa
Claran. About once a year I get back there, and maybe someday 'The
Fates' will work out my schedule to where I can spend some time gaming
with you.
Until then, keep om gaming, and be good to each other!
All the best,
Doug Richardson
