Thanks, Andrew.  Those answers help a lot.  I'd missed the part about suppression fire having its own modifer column.  Oops. 

I haven't played the ATS Omaha.  We have Arnhem, Mannerheim's Cross and Berlin Red Victory.  But we won't be playing ATS for a while now that Soldat is keeping us busy with toy soldiers.
