My sincerest apology to Joe Kuo for not playing well last night, and
causing us to lose to Serge & Binh, and then to John & Mo. However,
thank you very much for holding us up on many tough matches, that
allowed us to advance, and reach third place (again). In addition, I
would like to thank the regular and new players, Dave, Diego, and John
K. for attended last night's tournament; it was fun and very
challenging. I hope that you will become regulars in our future.
To Alto and Skip: next time, please show up earlier. Your presence
and participation could have made a big difference in the draws. John
and Mo may not have been partners, and the rest of use could have had
a better chance. As for Serge, he was just being himself. Often, it
does not matter whom Serge gets as a partner, since he is, one of the
highest South Bay player to frequent our tournaments with his
presence. Binh and Serge played such strong and unbalanced match
against us, that I wondered how Nick, graciously (?), gave me 1,400
SFfoos points as my base.
Nick, can you please reevaluate my SFfoos points, and rate me under
1,200 points? I cannot pass, shoot, or block if my life depended on
it. Besides, I hate paying $10.00, or more in this recession,
especially since I am in between jobs. By the way, what does
"sandbagging" mean? I am so senile that I must have asked that
question several times, but I just do not remember. ;^)
My best wishes to everyone in 2009!
Alex
