‘Online Australian V8 Racing’ (OZcar)
An addition to the computer game Sports Car GT.
"The entire focus of this mod was to achieve the ultimate physics for close online racing. We wanted to eliminate setup from the equation and concentrate on driving skill only. We wanted to have "hop in and drive" cars which were much better than the stock cars in SCGT. The idea was to have a car which could be driven fast easily near the limit, however presented multiple realistic and difficult driving challenges at and over the limit. We wanted to make sure the tires responded like real slicks at the limits of adhesion, something SCGT does particularly well anyway. We wanted to reward the driver who perfects lines through the corners. Therefore, for example at Mid-Ohio, a track noted for understeer and also several places creating oversteer, these traits will show clearly. Too late braking and/or the wrong line will lose you time through understeer. Coming out of the keyhole should be a balanced drift with careful throttle control. Get it right, and you will be rewarded with a low 1:13 lap time around Mid-Ohio." --Doug_P (roush1d)
