RE: [SACAWars] Guerra Civil 1891.

exciting and inspiring book for this period. There are many good colour plates,
photos, images of original weapons, high production value, even if it contains
errors it is a massive advance on what I had previously on the uniforms, a black
and white Eldorado compilation booklet. It is also available in the UK, a big
advantage for me. I tried for ages to get a copy of the similar titled book from
the same authors that was published in Chile a few years ago but without
success.

the Chilean Army published title also by Greve and Fernandez is better or worse
as far as errors go?

even if highly detailed and well researched (and this does not always seem to be
an essential pre-requisite with Osprey depending on the subject). Since the
Caliver title they may consider that the market is not big enough and the risk
is too great with a period that is not well known in Europe. If some connection
with the Waffen SS could be established, it may make the book more attractive,
though I might be a bit over critical of Osprey here...
> > >

appear as a dual text edition, maybe with European distribution? It would
certainly be a shame to never have the chance to get to know the fruits of
important primary research on the subject.
