The year is 2335....Various species in the Alpha Quadrant have been at war with
one another while the ships of the United Federation of Planets continue to
explore the galaxy.

The Hornet, having been commissioned at the Sol-1 Space Dock, is underway to
complete the shakedown of the newly commissioned vessel, launched 1 January
2335, while en route to Star Base 35 as their assigned home port. En route they
have encountered a mysterious object that seems to be playing some form of tag
appearing periodically at the maximum range of the LRS array. Having received
their newly assigned Helm aboard Hornet from the USS Yorktown investigation of
the unknown has been instituted and Hornet has gone to Red Alert as a safety
measure.

The USS Hornet is a Message Board simulation hosted by FSF Katana and FSF
Lensman, and a part of the Epsilon Fleet.
