The year is 2335....Various species in the Alpha Quadrant have been at war =
with one another while the ships of the United Federation of Planets contin=
ue to explore the galaxy.

The Hornet, having been commissioned at the Sol-1 Space Dock, is underway t=
o complete the shakedown of the newly commissioned vessel, launched 1 Janua=
ry 2335, while en route to Star Base 35 as their assigned home port. En rou=
te they have encountered a mysterious object that seems to be playing some =
form of tag appearing periodically at the maximum range of the LRS array. H=
aving received their newly assigned Helm aboard Hornet from the USS Yorktow=
n investigation of the unknown has been instituted and Hornet has gone to R=
ed Alert as a safety measure.

The USS Hornet is a Message Board simulation hosted by FSF Katana and FSF L=
ensman, and a part of the Epsilon Fleet.
