Totally out there but...
Any MMO players?
Table top RPGing has sort of died down for me over the last year, and
I've started picking up MMOs.
I've looked at Guild Wars, World of Warcraft, and City of Heroes.
Guild Wars is very appealing in its third chapter - an African style
fantasy that does not appear to be based on stereotypes. But I think
they're dropping it in Guild Wars 2 which is due late 2008 or so, which
may be cause for me to drop Guild Wars.
Warcraft has appeal on the Horde side, but it is a little frustrating
that the Alliance options are all -very- caucasian (including one
stereotyped off of Scottish) while two of the Horde options have
somewhat stereotyped angles to them (Trolls as Jamacians and Tauren, aka
minotaur, as Plains Native Americans). And the Orc voice actors sound
more than likely African American. But, given how the lore paints them,
at least I can feel like I'm on the 'actual good side' when I try out Horde.
As for City of Heroes - it seems fairly devoid of flavor at the moment.
The costume designer lets you look like just about anything. If there is
any lore / backstory to that game, I haven't found it. But you can make
of it what you will and there is a good amount of room for that.
Of course, the second two of those are pay to play, so I might
eventually cancel one of them.

poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread.
